Looking for the best route for a 10mil trail banshee
Paulie B replied to Paulie B's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I should be taking delivery of the motor around the 1st of the gear. I can't wait. I opted for a billet crank. I'll have my old forged crank up for sale shortly. -
I ordered them. I will let you know how they do on the shee. They will prolly get here before cam is done with my motor so don't hold your breath.
-
Huh. I like them

10" rims aren't a problem I can get those. I looked at the Goldspeed sc3's too, they are sold in different sizes, but they just don't look like anything special to me. I like the higher treads on the sc4's. My only other problem is I can't find pics of them mounted on a fo wheeler. I don't care how well they work if the tires and the 10 inch rims look gay. If I don't end up with them I'll prolly buy another set of 22" mud tires. Mud tires are the shit on a big hp shee. I've tried a bunch of tires on my 400 and my banshee over the years. Kenda Dominators, Maxxis razrs, Ohtsu 501's, Wooly boggers, and the Kenda Bearclaws. Bearclaws were the best of the bunch. Do a google search for mud tires on a banshee mines the first one lol

They only come on 22.5x9-10 size. Would this be too tall for the rear on my shee? Currently I'm running 22" bearclaws which I love just looking for something new. Thoughts anyone?

My other trail bike is 426cc single on meth. You can never have too much power and twins are more fun. -

It's gonna take several weeks. He's going to have to get the jugs unplated, work them, and then have them plated. A 10mil on trails is very doable it all in what your used to. I cut my own trails so they are fast trails except around the pond. My buddy has a few miles of trails he maintains with a bulldozer lol. They are pretty fast trails with some decent hills too. -

Thanks for the reply. How long of a wait are we talking? Redline doesn't list the super as an option on their website. It looks like you can get one from fast. How much for the pipes mang? -
Ok I'm looking for the best 10mil trail banshee combo. Currently I have a 10mil bottom end, pro-mod trans, 34mm mikunis, procircuit pipes, re-chambered stock head for a 68mm piston, and vitos stealth jugs. Terrible combo, you guys were right a while back. My shee was fast but had a short lived light switch powerband. For pipes I'm going with sbif Shearers. Carbs I'm going with 38mm keihins. Can I use my re-chambered stock head on a serval? Does anybody build a super serval worth the extra effort? Is porting a serval worth the money?

From jumping..... ass.

I replaced the crank with a 10mil and the flywheel already had stripped puller theads on it. The stator I'm still running to this day though.

What kind of Banshee would beat my boss's Mustang in the 8th?
Paulie B replied to Paulie B's topic in Drag Forum
You would frickin murder him with your stock frame cub. I'm sure there a lot more to your set up brother but all he has to know is it's a $875 after market jug, ported, with a stock frame set-up for asphalt..He prolly doesn't know what porting means. I live real close to Maryland international raceway- that's where I buy my meth for the blasty. I asked one time why no quads race there and they said it was because it never comes up. I was told as long as I have leathers and a helmet like the 2 wheel bikes I could race there. -

Fuck yeah. I'm gonna show him that video. I like the fact that your bike doesn't look super stretched out and more like a regular quad. -

He's a pretty boy racer. He doesn't have any experience himself. I do know them 13' GT500's have 660hp. Every time he trys to drive it fast it just spins the tires. I had an 07' GT500 for a short while. It was garbage on the stock tires all they way till 3rd. -
Greasy old motor Powerwashed
-
I use rubber plugs on the exhaust ports and balloons on the intake. Hell you can use balloons on both. Do this and you can use an electric power washer. It's the only serious way to quickly get all the shit off an old motor. You could get prolly 90% of all the grime off this way for the other 10% get some cheap 3 for a dollar paint brushes and get in there with the cleaner of your choice. The cheapest ones with the stiffest bristles are the best for this.

I've heard to watch out for the WSM ultra lite weight forged versions because they tend to crack around the intake boost ports. I've only heard of this happening with guys drag racing them though.
