  1. Thanks guys! I have a regular builder but haven't talked to him yet- I guess anticipation is getting the better of me
  2. Don't know what yall are blasting with. I use '000' grade sand. I've never came close to blasting off the vin.
  3. The gas will be fine. As an extra pre-caution I'd plug the vent hose on top of the gas tank. I like to start the bike, turn off the gas and let it idle untill it runs out of gas. That way the carbs don't gum up.
  4. What I got is a set of old 10 port Vitos 465 jugs. I picked them up complete with pistons. The pistons are Vitos newer style 68mm big bores. If you don't know they are unusually heavy? The nic either has been redone or looks good. Best part is I only paid $200. I also got a 10mil from TDR, the cheap one. This IS NOT a drag race motor. I'm running stock carbs, PC pipes, stock head, reeds. My question, is it possible to mill down the base and then rechamber the stock head to make up for that? I'd like the exhaust port to be around 180-185. Please don't tell me how much power I'm losing I'm not goin for HP I want the torque.
  5. RDZ converted my 38mm Keihin. I'm not sure if Rob can bore your carb too but I know rb-designs will oval bore them for you.
  6. If you lived here we could fit some 10oz buds in there for sure
  7. Just 3 short of a portable top of the hill beer pong table
  8. Any paint can be great paint if you sand blast and clean it really well but any paint is gonna suck if you get gas or alky on it. PC is the way to go.
  9. Did dunable over rides fall out of favor around here? I would think they would be pefect for a serval no?
  10. Sooooo in terms of ultimate power and or lots of fun it would be better to save up for the PV motor over a serval is that the jist? Because I jes seen a super cub serval. Would a PV motor of the same size have a significant advantage over the serval? To be clear what I want is the the best torque curve. I don't drag race that much, I love the woods. I want to be able to shove my 2 stroke in the face of 4 stroke owners and give them nothing to complain about lol
  11. Awesome info guys thank you! I can't say I've seen or heard that much about the trex besides it being alot cheaper then the full on PV cheetah. I wish I had more trex info. I guess at this point I'm torn between a serval and a cheetah. Is there anybody on here that you guys can point me to for hands on experience with trail riding a cheetah or a trex?
  12. Can anyone help a brother out and explain the pros and cons of these cylinders? Are any of them trailable?
  13. Hmmmm might have to give this guy a buzz. My shee is at the point to where it doesnt shift at high rpms.
  14. Check for slop in the ball joints or ripped boots. I've had one drop out before.
  15. I would love to but I only want to run 110 for the trip I'm going on. Wildcard will be there haha I heard you can do both- raise the compression and the timing.
  16. Move in next to me I wouldn't complain lol Around here with Maryland International Raceway, Budds Creek MX track, Potomac Speedway, and Wicomico Shores ATV park all in 10 mile square, if you don't like noise move somewhere else. Besides I don't know if you guys have Harley Davidson bikes over there but here they are like 20 times more annoying and for some reason people don't complain about them.
  17. How much can I increase the timing if I run race gas. Currently it's at +4 on pump fuel with 150psi compression. Thanks guys!
  18. Rite on. I figured the ill fitment it had something to do with my frame. I'd like to add the stock grill fit over it with no problems.
  19. I just bought an ASI unit for $100 shipped off Ebay. I think it's the same ones being talked about here. The only difference I see is that mine had a nice polish to it. I painted it black with specialty black radiator paint. It did indeed hold a significant amount of more juice since I saved all the newer old fluid out of my old rad. It fit just OK. I had to remove the metal bushings that are in the middle of the rubber isolator rings. My shee frame is known tweaked though so IDK. The stocker was hard fitting but it did fit with the stock bushing in place. I've ridden it everyday for the last week with no leaks. I also reused the stock cap. I'm completly happy with it so far.
  20. but seriously if the lever is a foot long or just 4" were all pullin it from the same spot so really length of the lever makes no difference. On mine I normally keep one finger on it at all times.
  21. Come on mang as long as it holds presure it will work. The poor guy who prolly got $10 to tig weld that did a good enough job.
