  1. I have to get my bigger carbs on. I still have stockers on but it has the same bottom end as my old combo with a ridiculous top-end. I'm easily entertained I guess. I'm running wht I call an all stock combo. Stock head, reeds, carbs, airbox..... It's still a pretty fun ride.
  2. I've been running them for a while now. They are a giant step-up from my ported stock jugs but I'm lazy. It's not always a drag race when I ride. I might sell them for something else.
  3. You might get that with a lil nitro but it would be a drag only tuning nightmare. Way cheaper and less of a hassle to go with a bigger motor.
  4. I found one about an hour and a half from me lets all meet there http://www.mdcycleconnect.com/dyno.html
  5. I had the same problem at the track and I freeked out. I found out it was a plug starting to foul out on one side. I'm not a fan of the NGK caps. The ones I had made a really good click when popped on the plugs but felt loose after that? Maybe they were worn. I went back to stock style. When the stockers get loose a pair of vise grips gets them tight again.
  6. I painted my frame and a-arms, PC'ed everything else. This is mostly because paint isn't gonna hold up on the swinger, and carrier. When the time comes I'll just sandblast my frame and a-arms and re-paint. You can't really do that with PC. If I had aftermarket arms I would have PC'ed them too.
  7. I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't making 70-80hp right now.
  8. OK I'll bite. You have a banshee motor under 421cc's running mid 3's? Are you running 100ft or 200ft track?
  9. I'd love to come out and run my junk with you guys but it's just a tad too far......
  10. You can do it you just need a wiring diagram. I used the one in the back of my Cymers. Theres some nasty stuff in the stock harness I'm surpised they dont fail more often. Mine had brass hog ringed gang grounds on it. I cut all the crap off.
  11. I want the low-end torque and a nice curve. Do they have super servals out yet?
  12. Aw man not the info I was looking for but I appreciate you sharing. I had had the head off several times without helicoiling the studs so either they fixt that or I'm getting lucky. At this point these jugs seem to be the exact opposite of what I want.
  13. I should have asked you first. That ideal beats plasma cutting and grindin it off.
  14. I thought the same. It's nice that I'm not the only one with a midget trailer.
  15. Hmmmmmmm that is very interesting. I only ran the straight water because on my last riding trip I blew the radiator hose off the front of the head. I only had water to refill it. When I got home I added the water wetter and it took the whole bottle. I just got back from riding it and the overflow tube is steaming. It might just be from over filling it- too soon to tell.
  16. I know they are older and I can't really find any info on them. I'm wondering what kind of porting they come with as cast.
  17. Can someone post or PM me his address? The 10th or 11th sound good to me.
  18. Good info guys thanks for the explanations. I'll be in the market for a metal gear also.
  19. I got the side cover off and the impeller gear looks fine. I put the stock cap back on over the china one that came with the radiator. How does the cap have anything to do with all this just curious. I put a new exhaust o-ring on the left side pipe. I filled the rad. and it looks to pumpin just fine. I shut her down and re-filled almost to the top. Ride report says everythings back to normal. Now I just need them new carbs!
  20. I didn't get a chance to get the side cover off to check the gear yesterday but yeah I might be going back to the stock cap. Thanks alot guys!
  21. Yes sir I still got the stocker carbs, that was the last ride on them. RJATV has some new ones on order for me. I jetted it not 2 weeks ago if anything the mains (370) are a tad rich? The low and midrange has always been too rich. Thats straight distilled water with redline water wetter in it. aw man I hope I don't have an air leak somewhere. I need to check that stupid plastic impeller gear too apparently....
  22. Yes I'm still running the plastic impeller gear. No that was not including warm up time. Warm up time for me is a short ride until I feel heat in the pipes and the head getting warm. I got it broke down real fast. The radiator was missing alot of water. I can't find a leak in it and the head gasket looks to be intact. I did a compression test still 142psi on both sides. The cylinders and pistons still look new- I was worried about it seizing up some from all that heat. The plugs look lean and I just noticed my left side pipe o-ring has blown out. I took a few pics
  23. You guys are diks lol I'm still building one so look for an even older guy pimpin a kids quad.
