    gearing

Just wondering what front and rear sprockets are you all running on your dragers (#of teeth) for sand, dirt, and asphalt?
  2. If you are going to use the factory bolts get some ziplock baggies and label your bolts in packets(fenders, front suspension, rear suspension,etc.). This will save you alot of time during reassembly.
  3. Kevin at HJR has great customer service, one of the best if not the best! I believe you cannot go wrong with HJR. He took care of me when my motor was damaged by Fedex. I don't believe that I could have made a better choice in builders hands down. Have Kevin build your motor you will be glad you did. Great guy to talk to and will answer all your questions. Customer service at its best!

  6. I got my motor back from Kevin yesterday, giddy like a school girl to get started putting it back in the frame wooohoo. After checking it over the tote I sent it in and sent back in looked like it was kicked out of the truck going down the highway, tore all to shit thanks fedex!! So anyway opened it up and the left exhaust flange was bent on the top down about .280 not usable brand new cub cylenders. called fedex they say the shipper must file a claim, so called Keven and he waas very supprised to hear of the damage and said he would ship a new ported cylender and gaskets and orings and would deal with fedex. I was unbelievably supprised that he would do this because the damage was in no way his fault or responsibility. What load off of my mind. So in a nut shell HJR customer service, five star in my book, heard alot of good things about Kevin and now believe every word of it . If anyone needs or wants motor work done HJR is the ONLY PLACE TO GO!!!!! I wish other places I've delt with in the past would take note of this, some not so good. You read alot of stuff but never really know until you deal with someone yourself. Two thumbs up to HJR.
  7. Thanks for the replys everyone. will check it out.
  8. where is Patterson MO? What kinda track sand, dirt, asphalt? I'm interested in trying this out, the only drag racing around here is goofing around with the very few people that have banshees around Jefferson City mo. I'm in the prosess of building my first drag bike, +4 421 cub by HJR Just got my frame back today from powdercoat, so still a work in progress. thanks for the info!
  9. any one ride in central mo. Looking for somewhere beside st. joe st park to ride or drag race. building my first drag bike just curious where to do this in central missouri.
  10. Funny no matter how hard you bend over backwards, someone will not be pleased until you jump through your ass for them and pay them to use your product with free stuff for life. I know alot of people who sill just never be satisfie no matter what you do or how fast you do it, even if they are the one who messes something up or its their fault,. some just gotta show their ass no matter what.
  11. If the quad is running perfectly why mess with it. I know everyone says the boost bottle does nothing for performance, but I don't think they hurt it either. I have one on my bolt on bike, it came with the pipe, jet, filter kit I purchased ten years ago put it all together with some other stuff like dyna dfs ignition noss cool head 20 cc domes boyse power reed, reed spacers tors removal and idle screws, and this thing rips. Like I said the boost bottle probably doesn't do anything for performance but doesn't detract from it either. My gearing on this machine is 15/39 with 20-11-10 holeshots and when you punch it, no matter what gear you are in it lites up the rear tire no hesitation no bogg just instant kick in the pants! Jetting is spot on, it runs with a cleaned up port banshee that my younger brother has no problem. I'm impressed for abolt on machine with no internal work whatsoever.
  12. They are the dual o ring. Keven just shipped the motor friday, my frame is still at the powdercoat shop, and waiting for a-arms and swing arm to show up. The pipes look really good as far as finish but won't really know about fitment untill other stuff gets here. This is my first ground up build. Everything is down to nuts and bolts right now. Waiting sucks, but what you gonna do.The only original piece on the engine is the cases, the intake is a chariot I think, what ever HJR uses. +4 crank pistons, cub 68mm drag port, +5 timing plate adjustalbe, noss head wt 20cc custom domes vforce3 reed/cage 39mm carbs, 1-5 dunable override ndown tranny. pod filters, cases match ported to cylenders.Should be fun toy when completed !!!!!
  13. I hope my frame is "bent" when I get my inframes put on. waiting for powdercoat, engine, lots of other stuff so I can start my build. HJR +4 dragport cub.
  14. Finally got them mounted, two ratchet straps lots of soapy water, but the final trick was the tire has to be centered inthe wheel perfectly and lots of grunting and squeezing all around the damn things. I hope these wear good, I don't want to do this very often, the price was right though 39 front 49 rear. alot better than maxis or itp!!
  15. Thanks on the input, never had this problem mounting tires before have mounted many. Seems like everything these days has to be a fight!!! I'll try some more thanks again.
  16. The tires and rims are the right size. The tires are very soft and do not flex out when ratcheted down.
  17. Seating the beads are not the problem, getting the sidewalls to go out far enough to pressurize the tire to start the beads to set is the problem.
  18. I just purchased a set of artrax 21-7-10 fronts and 20-11-10 rears with itp t9 wheels, and I cannot get them to start to take air to seat the bead. Has anyone else had this problem, and how did you get them to take air? I have tried puttin ratchet straps on them but to no avail.
