  1. I thought it was the other way around... If you go bigger gearing you get higher top end and loose on low and drop gears you loose top and gain low.
  2. I finally finished my build... It took alittle while but now it's done and runs like a champ. Faster than ever... Can't keep the front wheels on the ground so it looks like I'll be looking for a new swing arm. Lol. Check out the pics and let me know what you guys think. http://m944.photobucket.com/albums/Fastassbanshee96/Mobile%20Uploads/?pbauth=1_uLEBonVPfaLdh1h3YMYz2ZZfpK1HSsbvTyD%2B5C2EAZADiPSA5MpaW4ZQwmiu2vzi9jUHXDVMsxgfcatpizYGNS%2Bff5ac8IR96Q6npmBzde%2FEWZNBP3DrXOo9UP0GJ%2BrdLzZfy6dtIAAKebxN7z8rhULtARPBhveIOlizpZCd%2Bpq3lg14R3wtKA%3D%3D
  3. Wrist pins no unless they are screwed up. The clips yes, it's always a good idea to replace those when rebuilding cause they tend to get screwed up when you take them out. Besides those and the rings you should be good. Oh also a top end gasket kit.
  4. Thanks. That's what figured I would have to do. Befor it happened my left cylinder wasn't firing... If the plug was broke when I was trying to start it, would that sparkplug still fire or not.
  5. I broke a sparkplug off in my coolhead. All the threads are still in the dome. I figured the best way to get it out would be take the head off and try to screw it all the way thru. Does anyone know of a better way of doing this without screwing up my dome or head. Any info would be great.
  6. Also does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the rest of the sparkplug out without damageing anything.
  7. I haven't used it yet but I was told to use zoopseal. I heard it works great. I have alot of stuff that I hand polished and don't want it to get screwed up. But I have bigger problems going on with mine right now but I'll let you know how it works.
  8. I think I just found the problem.... I figured I would pull the plug and see what it looked like foe shits and giggles. Well needless to say the whole plug was snaped. All the threads are stuck in the head. Well dome I guess cause it's a cool head. Weather it was broke when I was trying to fix it or if it broke when I was taking it out I don't know. If it was broke when I was trying to fire it, would it still spark or no. I would imagin it wouldn't but I could be wrong.
  9. Just did a rebuild and put on cool head with 19cc domes. Now the left side won't fire. I checked the carb sync and it's perfect. I switched the plug wire and it does the same thing. Carbs were cleaned and running perfect befor the rebuild. I have no clue what to check now besides tearing the carb down and cleaning it again but I don't think it's it cause it won't fire when it's reved up either. Any ideas.
  10. I just got done painting all my parts as I'm still in the process of redoing mine. Pic are in my sig... It ended up costing right around 150 up I have a hook up on paint. Have roadit yet but I painted my plastic last year and they held up great. Just use lots of clear and do a good prep.
  11. I would never buy a tire to grind it... I already have some that are just sitting around that I use for ice tires. I rarely ride in the winter so I figured I would try it on those.
  12. Not sure what the finish is but i've got the same thing going on with mine. If it's a small amount of rust... I took and used some mothers chrome polish on a polishing wheel and it cleaned up pretty good with minimal work. As for the rust at the header, the wheel didn't even touch the rust on that but mine are pretty bad. I've seen some guys say to use balled up aluminum foil and coke or clr andsteel wool. Haven't tried it yet but I should be doing it some time this week. I'll let you know how it works.
  13. Deffenetly different. Looks pretty sweet.
  14. Thanks guys. I really want to try those razed2. I've never thought about grinding the lugs. I have a set already of the regular razors that I just studded and turned into ice tires. Maybe I'll try it on them while I'm saving for new tires.
  15. Hey I just realized you have those razer2... How do you like them? I've been thinking about getting a set of those. I'm back and forth between those and the HDs.
  16. Thanks man. I'll definetly have to check them out. Yeah I had a set of the first maxxis and they did seem to wear pretty quick. Now I studded them and use them for my ice tires. I've been running a set of black waters that came with it when I bought it and they don't seem to wear too fast but they don't really hook that great either. I only weight like 135lb so I need all the traction I can get. Plus if those ohtsu are cheaper that's a good thing. Both those HDs and the razors aren't to danm cheap.
  17. Yeah it definetly sucks ass. I've polished my clutch cover, rear skid plate, full body skid plate, throttle box, master brake and lever, clutch lever, exhaust, handle bars, front bumper and the dog bone all by hand. And all within the last month. It really sucks when your finger tips start bleeding from doing soo much sanding but it's well worth it in the end. I have ADD so it's really hard for me to focus on one part for a period of time. Lol. But like I said it's worth it.
  18. I have a shee that bored .040 over with fmf fattys vforce reeds boost bottle stock carbs and I just got a cool head with 19cc domes so I think I need to rejet it. I live I Roseville Michigan so I think that's something like 400 feet from sea level. Not really sure on that could be wrong. What jets should I be running. Both main and pilot. Oh yeah and I have K&N air filters with the air box removed. Also will I need to replace the needles or repossision the clips. I'm not sure what needles are in it now, probably the stock ones. Any info would be great.
  19. I've been looking at maxxis razer2 or holeshot HD. Which is a better tire or is there a better tire than either of those. I do alot of trail riding... Mostly packed dirt but some sand too. I already have paddels for dunes so that's not an issue. I want either a good 20 or 21 inch tire, leaning more towards 21s though. Let me know what you guys think.
  20. Yeah right. You could have gotten the dent out you just didn't try hard enough. Lol looks good though.
  21. I would definetly go polished. How can you beat the chrome look. I'm actually in the process of polishing mine. Let us know what you end up doing and post some pics.
  22. Well fenders are about done... Couple more coats of clear to go. Shocks are done just have to do the springs.
  23. Thanks for the replys. It's for me not the wife.lol. But yeah I've already cut the fenders and getting ready to repaint them. They will be the same color but with more metal flaking. I should be starting to put it back together by the end of this week.
  24. Hahaha. You ass. Nice to see you finally made a profile on here. I know there's alot of blue but it's either that or the chrome and that chrome paint is real soft. It just has to last this year. Next year I'll redo it again and do powder coat instead. Probably switch it up alittle too. As far as the polishing goes... I'm not OCD like you I have ADD and ADHD so it's hard for me to spend too much time on one part. Not to mension the wife hates the shee so I can't exactly spend 20 hours on one part. But I'll being more over this winter.
