So them the windows aren't a must.... Didn't know if they were for anything more than lubrication aid.

So I was working on trying to finish up putting my motor together today and just realized there are no windows in the pistons. It's a 485 cheetah, is that normal for these motors?

Do you mean cp? If so what cylinders are they? Cp industries make a lot of different cylinders.

So you want it to be a minus 6 degrees? Wouldn't that put an upward rake on the swingarm? Meaning that the swingarm would have to travel higher than the sprocket.... Or am I just reading this wrong.

Do you measure to the center of the piston and if so do you just use a parallel and subtract that thickness?

Nope. I was iffy about building the motor. I would never attemp porting it.

I bought there motor in pieces. The cylinders are the way I received them. Was told there was some clean up port but I honestly don't know.

Yes as far as the degree wheel... He wanted to to degree/ measure between the bottom and the top of the exhaust port.

I built the motor I'm just habing the domes cut. Don't really have a builder. Not even sure on who I'm having cut the domes. If I haven't mentioned it yet I'm new to the whole drag world and building a motor for that reason. Lol. So what all do I need to measure and remember I'm a newbie.

It's a 485 cheetah. I'll be using it for strictly 300' sand drags. As far as the degee wheel I was just told that that was what I had to do. So could I put it together without a base gasket and take what ever measurement are needed and just tell whoever I have cut them that there was no base?

I honestly don't know if its just squish or not. Believe the guy said that they were the wrong profile and wrong squish. I don't have a base gasket yet cause I was just going to get one when I got the domes not thinking that I'm going to have to measure with a gasket I place. What gasket would be ideal and what is the ideal squish?

What thickness base gasket should I be running? I have a 485 cheetah motor. It will be running on alcohol. I still have to have new domes cut but figured I'd stat with the base gasket. Options right now are .020 or .043. First drag/ motor build so not sure on all this stuff.

I need new domes cut for my motor cause those ones that came with it weren't right. I was just told that I need to degree the motor to have them cut..... What am I supposed to do to have them done?

What length are the break lines for?

The carbs currently don't have any main jets in them. Could I just use one of my old jets a drill it?

I honestly don't really know why I don't want one lol. I guess I'm just not a huge fan of the look. But it looks like I better start liking it cause I guess I'm going to need one. As for the mains ... Do you guys just drill those by hand or should I throw it on a bridge port or lathe? Seems easy enough to just drill by hand but don't know if it needs to be 100% straight or not. And thank you for the good deal and fast shipping.
