So when is this race going to happen? I'm looking forward to hearing about the results.. BTW, I though the Predaturds had the same motor as the KTM. Am I wrong?

One last question, just so I'm sure I've tested correctly. When testing the primary, does the coil need to be mounted to the frame and with the + and - connections hooked up? I've been testing the primary on the tabele with nothing hooked up. Poking the leads into both the plug wire inlets directly at the coil. I just want to be extra sure before I send this coil back. Please help!

I see what you're saying, but if the coil is fine, I should be getting a reading. The old coil and the one I just recieved both don't even put a number on the meter. And that's using a high-end auto ranging meter and testing directly at the coil. Thanks for your replies. Keep em coming.

Thanks for your reply. I believe the test method you're describing is the way it says to test in the manual, but, it's since been proved to be an inaccurate way to get good readings. I did get a reading from that method, however is was like 2.3 ohms... Very strange.. Then I decided I'd test the popular way, by going lead to lead directly at the coil, and this yielded no results. I really don't want to have to buy a brand new coil from the dealer just to be sure I'm getting one that works. This is ridiculous. Thanks again, gstaten24, for taking the time to help.

Just got back from having the coil tested again, and this time with the wires unplugged. Still no reading at all. I've read alot of people saying the coils themselves very rarely go bad, but it appears to me this is one is dead. Can someone please chime in here with any help? I'm really frustrated with this whole thing.

Hey guys. I just bought a used coil from a BHQ member and I'm still not getting spark. I took the coil to my brother in-law, who is an electrician to test it and we're not getting readings. Am I testing it wrong? Does it need to be hooked up to the bike and with the ohm meter probes plugged into both spark plug wires? We tested it by itself, off the bike. The only reading we got was when he touched the meter to one of the tabs sticking off the coil and got a reading of 2.3 ohms. I'm stumped. I was going to try sanding the frame where the coil mounts up, but I'm not getting a reading from both plug wires. I'd appreciate any help you can offer. I've been outside screwing around with this thing in -10C and it's snowing. This is a major pain in the ass. Thanks in advance

Ahh yes, now I remember the story. And you're right, it's these guys who ruin it for the rest of us. It's a shame that this happened. On another note, this is a great example of why people need to be properly educated on the negatives of feeding wildlife. It teaches wild animals to drop their natural defenses and then this happens. It might seem like they're (the tree hugger) doing the deer or bear a nice deed by feeding it daily, but, it's just training the animal to walk right into trouble. I have nothing against feeding for hunting purposes, but non-hunters need to realize they're not helping the wildlife by feeding them on a routine.

Just bought a coil from Josh. Great seller with fast shipping and great communication. Would definitely do business again.

Looking for a coil for my 2002 Banshee. Would like to know readings from leads before purchasing if possible. Will pay through Paypal. Thanks.

I'm still messing around with my Banshee after installing PWK 28's. Upon installation I noticed that the factory boots on the airbox side won't fit onto the new carbs. I read that couplers can be used to connect the carbs to the airbox. Anyone know what size couplers I'd be looking for and where to get them? I'm assuming Lowe's would have them or a Home Depot store? Thanks in advance.

Ruko, killer buck! That is a big bodied deer right there. Madjimmax, that big bear you posted. I think I remember that being posted on Archerytalk. Are you a member there? I spend alot of time on that site.

Sorry for the delay, guys. Been swamped at work and no time to do anything. Will have pics this weekend and will get back to everyone with prices. Still undecided about whether or not I want to strip this thing down or just buy a new coil for it (suddenly lost spark).. Everyone who has shown interest already will be first in line if I go ahead with this. Please bare with me. Thanks.

Sorry, the engine is being sold complete.

Hey guys. Thinking about parting out my 02 Banshee. It's mostly stock and it is by no means in perfect condition. I simply don't have time to build it up the way I want so I might part it out then buy something nicer in the spring. -FMF Fatty's w/ PC2 silencers. (chrome is not great on these near the head. Stingers are painted black and silencers need repacking) $170 -PWK 28mm carbs. Freshly cleaned with 52 Pilots and a range of main jets. $200 -4 Polished ITP 12" wheels with new mud/trail tires that are pretty aggressive. MAKE OFFER -Trail Tech polished fat bar clamp (Brand new in box but has slight marring where packaging must've rubbed on it. Easily repairable) MAKE OFFER -Hart & Huntington edition TAG fat bars. Brand new. $60 -Stock engine that runs great ( will perform compression test.. Has chain whack) $600?? -Blue plastics with no cracks. (NO SAG in rear. Fronts are race cut) MAKE OFFER Everything else on this bike is original and will have scratches or paint chips.. You get the idea. I'm just looking to see if it's worth parting out so if I go ahead with it, it'll be first come, first served. -Factory suspension -Swinger -Axle -Calipers -2x Coolant bottles -Radiator -Tie-rods with ends

Can someone please tell me a good starting point for the mixture screws on a set of PWK 28's? I got the bike back together with the new carbs but don't want to try starting it until I know it's safe. Thanks.

Been off the routine for a bit while I deal with some other shit, so I'll hold off on the pics til I'm back up where I was. A while back I went from 180 to 196 at 9% BF. I felt great. Currently sitting at 183 lbs and I'm 5'10". Getting back into the gym on Monday.

Crazy stuff man. That'd be weird to see a deer stumbling through the woods while in the stand. Hopefully they'll be able to do something about it.

Monster Mulies! Man I gotta arrow one of those beauties someday. Great pics man.

Thanks guys. Found a good sized rub in a nice pinchpoint so I put my camera in there for a week and got a shot of a decent 8 point walking right by. Was cruising through around 2am, so he should be moving mid-day as well. No bowhunting allowed during our 2 week rifle season, but I'm gonna try to call him in my first day back. Keep em coming guys!

Congrats to everyone on their success so far. TeamRealtreeHD, killer trophy room! Finally my contribution to the thread I started. This is my first ever buck. Not much to look at but I'm still very excited. It was an amazing hunt, easily the most heart-pounding moment I've had in the stand to date. This guy fucked with me for about 5 minutes before he finally walked into a shooting lane. Double lung complete pass-thru at roughly 20 yards. Shooting ST Epic 400 tipped with G5 T3 from a Reflex Bighorn set at 29"/60#. He ran roughly 60-70 yards and piled up.
