  1. Just bought a set of FMF Fatty's. Was wondering what would be a good starting point for jetting when I get the pipes on, airbox lid off, with a UNI filter at around 300' elevation. As far as I know, it's all stock internals, or slight overbore at most.
  2. Still waiting for pics of the exhaust.
  3. When I mentioned BelRay and Klotz I was referring to 80w, I guess I wasn't very clear on that. Thanks for all your input, guys. It's much appreciated.
  4. Got any pics of the pipes and silencers.. Are they a good mid-range pipe?
  5. Forgot to ask, do you accept Paypal? Already sent you a PM. Get back to me with your info and I'll send out payment. Thanks.
  6. I'm looking for a decent price on a complete TORS Elimination Kit. Thanks. Ryan
  7. Ahh perfect! Thanks a ton, guys. I'm definitely going to be getting one of those.
  8. So this is the TORS I'm talking about? I thought it might be since I've read a little bit about it. Will I need new carb caps? These things are threaded right into the tops of my carbs. Man they're nasty! And thanks for your quick reply!
  9. I've been doing some tuning up on my newly acquired Banshee and I've been wanting to give the carbs a good workover and check to see if the old owner has the wrong jetting in there, and to set float height. Before I get into this, I want to understand a little more about the parts that are sitting ontop of my carbs. They're really stupid looking and I don't want to pull the carbs off unless I know how to re-set or adjust these parts once the carbs are back in. Is this part of the TORS system? Do they really need to be there? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'd love to hear that there's a way to eliminate these big bulky things and make some room in there. One of the first things I do when I buy something is remove anything that doesn't need to be there. Sorry I don't have a pic of the parts I'm referring to, but, I'm sure you gurus know exactly what I'm talking about. Ryan
  10. I have a slightly bent Tie-Rod on the left side and the Tie-Rod End on the right side has some play. I'm looking for a set of both Tie-Rods with ends or if all you have is a new end kicking around I'll take that. Must be new or really close to it. Thanks. Ryan
  11. Thanks, guys. Oil change is done as well as a freshly cleaned UNI and some new plugs. Old owner was running BR9ES but I switched back to BR8ES. Gotta get me some pipes and jetting now as well as a good carb cleanup.
  12. I just went out and bought some ATF Type F and wanted to ask you guys for your input before I go ahead and do this oil change. This will be my first time using ATF in a 2 stroke bottom end so I am a little leary on what brands to use and so on. I ended up leaving the store with Shell ATF Type F because they don't carry Klotz or BelRay,which would've been my preference.. So is Shell brand fine for use in our machines? The guy who runs the store has always been pretty knowledgeable and he says all Type F is pretty much the same thing inside the bottle. Any input would be appreciated. Ryan
  13. I'll give him a call. Thanks a lot for your help.
  14. Just wondering if anyone here can vouche for a builder somewhere in Ontario, preferably between TO and Ottawa. I want to start planning for some good porting once I get pipes and jetting done. Any ideas?
  15. If it's the bumper on the yellow bike in your sig, I'll take it. I sent you a PM. Let me know if you still want it and we'll work out the details. Thanks.
  16. Here's what it looks like. Borrowed this pic from another site. Mine is in great shape. With a little polish it should shine right up. No rust or anything. These list $108 on Blingstar's site. Would take $60 but prefer a trade. Thanks http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/ProductImages/300/0000_Blingstar_Iron_Cross_Bumper.jpg
  17. I have a Bling Star Maltese Cross bumper that was on ym Banshee when I bought it the other day and I don't like it. I'd be willing to trade the bumper plus cash for a set of mid-range pipes, something intake related, or for a set of bars, preferably TAG. I'm willing to hear what ya got. Just throw it out there and I'll take a look. The bumper is in great shape and is regular aluminum color. I'm in Canada but for US transactions I use a UPS depot in NY, so that won't be an issue. Thanks for looking. Ryan
  18. Thanks for you input, guys. So maybe I'll try 36:1 since the Amsoil is a synthetic. That should still be plenty of oil. I'll try it tomorrow and see how it runs. The guy I just bought it from says he was running 20:1, but , I think that's a little extreme. Shouldn't I get some gains from leaning out on the oil a little?
  19. Thanks, man. Thinking about going with 32:1. Is that a little bit oil-rich or is it a good safe ratio to run these? Been reading that alot of people use 40:1 or 50:1. I'd like to try that but I'm a little concerned about running it lean. Any advice on this?
  20. I'm going for my first real ride since I bought my Banshee and I was wondering what's the recommended octane for a stock Banshee? I went out today and bought a new set of NGK BR8ES plugs and some AMSOIL INTERCEPTOR, so now I'd just like to know about the fuel. Around here we have 87, 89, and 91. What's best in my case? I'm guessing 89? Thanks in advance.
