  1. Congrats Travis.....She is beautiful.....now you have to save up for some heavy artillery.
  2. he thinks your smoking crack We will see
  3. I use to run a stock stroke HJR dune ported stock cylinder engine that was a really hard runner. I always wanted to make it accellerate faster & just about maxed it out. As everybody should know by now I blew the engine two times in less than a year. Long story, so I was convinced to get a 421 cub if I wanted more accelleration & I could later on down the road port it for more accelleration. So I jumped on the 421 cub & used the previous bolt-ons that I already had because I was told by a few site sponsors that my bolt-ons work well with the 421cub. My current set-up is in my sig. & I do agree that my 421 cub pulls alot harder than my ss dune ported cylinders but it's not exactly pulling hard enough for me. Im trying to get as much bottomend accelleration out of the cylinders as cast before getting it ported. I love the mid to top side but it's the 1st-3rd gear that gets me. I am making this thread to get opinions on what i could do to help my accelleration from 1st-3rd. I want that arm snatching hit from the start. Now it could be that im missing the power cause when my tires just spin from take off & when I switch to second it hooks then. What are some of you guys opinions on how you would set up a cast 421cub to run on 100LL? Even the guys that dont like 100LL how would you set it up on 110 race gas? Thanks in advance Reek
  4. what is your compression ration & timing?
  5. No it's not a dumb question......From what I was told it's rated 100 octane...& I will be using it from now on....It is a damn good fuel in my opinion.
  6. I feel the same way as Jared.....take your chances at going to court.....I have seen some cops give tickets just to be an ass, because they know certain people are not going to go to court.
  7. im interested...I need alot of parts off your bike to make NIkki reliable. I will let you know.
  8. you guys are making me nervous......
  9. I pulled the head today & the right cylinder dome oring blowed & was letting coolant in the right cylinder. Everything stills looks good so im going to order a new oring kit put it back together & stick with the 100LL.
  10. I tried some 93 pump gas yesterday & almost blew this engine. It started detonating, spark plugs backed out & right cylinder died & was smoking like a freight train. I turned it off & rechecked compression & it was 140-145psi. with the tip being 1/4" shorter than spark plug tip. So it has to have more compression than what the tester is reading. I'm also running +4 timing. I did not have any problems at all before I use 93 pump. So today im going to get 5 gallons of 100LL & see if it gets back to running good.
  11. Thanks I heard the samething before from a member on here. I just needed a second opinion....I will run a second set of plugs with richer mains just to see if the color changes. Im hoping to see the grey get darker, if so I think I can finally read these plugs using this fuel from that. I have less than 155psi. with +4 timing, how much more compression & timing could I add to 100LL & be safe?....it's not a drag bike but more of a duner 421 cub. I should asking how much compression & timing was you running using 100LL for years?
  12. So what color are you guys plugs when you're are checking them running 100LL? I checked mines & they are grey.
  13. That was the other day in the shout when ddu or ddq, one of them said that the reading will be grey instead of brown. I just wanted to get a second opinion on the plug color. I will post pics of the plugs tomorrow.
  14. Do do you read thes edamn plugs running 100LL?

  15. I installed my 421 cub, +4 timing, squish is .052 on right cylinder & .054 of left cylinder, compression on fresh build before starting was 130 psi on left cylinder & 132 psi on right cylinder. My compression guage tip is about 1/4" shorter than BR8ES spark plug tip. So my compression is higher than what the guage is showing. I mixed 100LL straight 32:1 Klotz supertechniplate & I warmed the bike up. Then I made a few passes with jetting set at 52 pilots CEG 162 mains. It was idle hanging so i installed a 55 pilots & it cleared up. I made a few more passes on it & checked the plugs & they was grey looking. I checked my compression again & the left cylinder is still at 130psi but right cylinder went up to 135 psi. The bike pulls good but i was nervous from the grey reading on both plugs. I installed a 170 mains & it got sluggish on top side. I removed the 170 mains & went back to a 162mains & it started back pulling hard again. So then I went to a 160 mains & it pulls a little bit harder. I stopped there cause I dont have any more plugs & was trying to find some help on dailing my jetting in perfect. I am concerned at why my plugs look grey? I know it's not lean or running hot just wondering why my plugs give a grey reading with the 100LL? & what color should my electrolode be when near perfect jetting....i know a tan brown using pump or race gas, but this 100LL is tricky....All help is appreciated

  17. you still got 1 post.....i gotta admit you trying your best to get in the shoutbox.....
  18. Glad to have my shee back up & running...but even faster now

  19. If im not mistaking this dyno chart is a ported serval by cameron at redline racing compared to 4mil dune port, ported by cameron at redline racing. My point is you would save more money going 4mil stock cylinder. JMHO
  20. Well got the shee back up & running again...Only thing im waiting on is 18 more days to past...............
  21. is that tires & rims? what are the tire & rim sizes?
  22. Im looking for a nice set of tires & rims for asphalt drag racing. I need the skinny tires & rims for the front & the rear tires & rims. As stated in description i would prefer 20x10x10 American racers SD 23 soft compound. Thanks
  23. TDR is by far the cheapest I've seen for Maxload bearings.
  24. It will be plenty of us there that can help you dail your jetting in. Just bring alot of spark plugs.
