no, the motor doesnt get hot. maybe by the end of the night of racing, it gets just a little warm but u can still lay your hand on those cylinders. i would build brackets but how my steering stem is set up, i would actually have to make the stem longer to drop the radiator
yea, i drag race. mostly 200ft, and sometimes 300ft. its on alky, but that motor does get hot. i was thinking of throwing a dirtbike radiator on it. ill have pics of my bike after i get the motor back from kim.
k&t done mine, but i have no passes on it yet. whatever you do, dont call rdz. we called and they act like they didnt want our business. they said they stopped working on cubs, only dmxs. but whatever floats their boat.
those might be cheap but if your wanting to get power out of your pipes, go to a set of shearer sb. thats what i have. power pros, a good pipe but its something you would maybe wanna put on a stock cylinder bike, not a cub
ok, i bought a fiberglass hood and i was wondering if it was ok to leave the radiator in the place where it comes factory or do i need to build brackets to lower the radiator. i dont want it to over heat from lack of air and burn up. im just very curious and its been aggravating me.
race season is around the cornor and im looking for a nice set of OOF shearer bigbores. id perfer them both coming out the same side. if anyone has a set, u can text me at 1-606-627-9836 or just pm me.
im gonna use a wet system, and my bike is running off alky and everyone tells me to use gas as a additive. and idk about the ignition. i have 180 pounds of compression in each cylinder
ok guys, my cub cylinders are being sent off to millennium to be renikiled. my bike ran constitant 3.1s and 3.2s in 200ft. im wanting to stick a 25-35 shot of nitrous to it set a track record, whats the biggest shot of spray you can stick to a motor like that and how many tenths should it pick you up ? im just needing to know before i go too big on the spray and blow it all to heck.
port the heck out of the exhaust and throw the alky to those stock carbs. ive seen a completely stock bike at stanford run 3.8s in 200ft just like that.
ok guys. this is what happened. i raced last week, my bike was alright. later in the night, i went to purge my bike, it wouldnt kick over. took my motor apart at the house, and a clip off the wristpin came off and scratched my right side cylinder up and piston. would anyone know how this could happen and anyone got any recommendations where to get them renikasiled ?
im running vf2 reeds, vf3 sucks balls. i have 37.5 pwks, cpi smallbores, lonestar drag axle, lonestar swinger. im using studded realtors with 72 icepicks in each tire, running 6 pounds of air in them, but my bike is what it should be running now.
ok, i was in the 3.2s with my setup. i should be in 3.1s in 200ft this week at the new track in harlan, im doing a little more work on my ice pick realtors, lean out my carbs a little, and im using a set of sb cpi stinger pipes.
