  3. yes there really is a hicksville, oh. lol it is close to the indiana boarder about a half hour north east of fort wayne indiana.
  4. thanks guys, i wasn't sure what i needed to kick it up to, when i got the bike it was just running t-5's with the 280 mains, i wasn't quite sure how much more i would need to go with the dune/trail ported cylinders. i will be riding in 60-80 degree typical ohio summer weather.
  5. about to have the bike complete in about a day or two. i have dune/trail port by rb racing some porting on the transfer cases rocket pipes pro design cool head with 20cc domes, altitude where i live is about 1100ft-shooting for 150-155 compression ported reed cages, boysen 2 stage reeds stock carbs with k&n pods +4 degree key just wondered if anyone had any suggestions on what main jet i should start at and pilot. i was thinking 290 or 300 for the main sound right? or any other suggestions on motor mods? i ride fast trails and strip pits.
  6. i have a set of fmf gold series fatty pipes that came on my bike when i got it. they are going to need to be repainted, the paint is chipping and on the expansion chambers it seems they did not use high temp. paint. they might need a repack they sound a little louder than the typical fmf pipes. there is one small dent in the left side expansion chamber, might be able to see it in the pictures. the silencers say spark arrestor on the side, but not 100% sure which ones they are (power core 2?). i only use the computer at work, so i will check them out a little better when i get home and update tomorrow with more pictures if needed. asking 150 shipped. my cell is 330-432-5912. located in mechanicstown, oh. 44651
  7. How can you tell a difference between the old style rockets and the new??
  8. I would like to buy a used polished stator cover, water pump cover and clutch insert cover. i will pay by paypal. please send a photo and price shipped to 44651 to my email adunlap0587@yahoo.com or to the thread. thanks.
  9. great seller, sent the rocket pipes priority so they were super fast on shipping, they look great, great deal on them
  10. how do you tell if they are big bore, isnt the stinger tube larger? i just bought a set of cpi so i thought i should check them out before i throw them on.
  11. how can you tell the old style rockets from the new style. since i hear the craftsmanship on the newer ones arent up to par as the older ones. is it just the silencer design?
  12. did you test the pipes out? to see how they perform?, from what i hear from some people, is that they actually prefer running the big bore cpi or shearers on there smaller bore banshee's, they say the power comes on sooner and pulls longer. but i dont know if its true or not.
  13. i saw the same ad, where the 7mil went for 1700. i thought it was a typo for a sec...
  14. he doesnt have many post but has been a member for quite a while....great communication, fast shipping, great price, and parts were nicely packed
  15. Did you ever end up picking up the ohlin shocks? if so can you send pictures to adunlap0587@yahoo.com if you were still interested in trading. thanks
  16. same here i bought his toomey t5's off him last thursday and paid for them then, said he would ship them no later than monday. its now wednesday and have not got a tracking number or a pm back and i have tried to contact him several times
  17. i know man, the only set of rockets i have located was from minkia but he wanted 550 shipped for a set of used ones. might as well buy a new pair for 600.
  18. same here, from pictures and not reading anything other wise, i always thought noss heads were one piece design. like the chariot cool heads. but thanks guys for the clarification and all the info.
  19. my set of cylinders i just picked up that are dune/trail ported didnt come with studs. so thats another reason i was leaning towards pro design since they come with them, so i dont have to remove the studs out of my stock cylinders.
  20. just wondered if there was a significant difference in the noss/modquad one piece design compared to pro designs 2 piece cool heads? i have looked over the forum quite a few times trying to see if there was any real difference. other than the noss you can use the stock studs. seems like alot of guys on here run noss. would just like some honest opinions. thanks. i can get a new pro design complete kit off ebay for 231 shipped. i would most likely get the 20cc heads so i can keep running 91 octane. i live in mechanicstown, oh and the elevation is about 1100. i have dune/trail port by rb racing in mich. cpi pipes, +4 degree key, ported reed cages by banshee boyz with boysen reeds.
