  1. a trail setup? leave the athenas unported.
  2. they start adding fuel about 3/4 throttle
  3. i thought you wanted to know what kind of cylinders you got? you took no pics of them but they look like stockers to me.
  4. blaster pistons stop at .090 wiseco 573mo6825
  5. i only saw it in the live thread. as far as that dome, like ddu said in that thread the machining of the dome looks odd. ive cut all my domes for the past 4 years or so, none have the little bit of what looks like chatter that your domes have. with that being said i know you said it a wicked head/domes, they maybe be thin in general and when they were cut for your application it left very little material, especially with north of 180psi. since your mentioning heat in winter conditions we all know jetting plays into it but not all after market heads offer proper or even improved cooling. bottom line is you need new domes
  6. needing to find a clymer manual for torque specs.
  7. my guess would that its the 573mo6600 piston that could be used with a 1mm higher pin height then the 795mo65xx.
  8. guess i should have said case studs are m8x1.25 watch some of the videos on how to do it, if you dont feel comfoartable doing this or its your first time. id highly recommed a machine shop do this for you.
  9. http://www.timesert.com/html/mtrcsert.html
  10. drill the broken stud out, install a time-sert. buy a new stud and ur ready to go. if you took that top case to a machine shop and they couldnt help you, then never go back to them for anything.
  11. well seems like youve got it all figured out. guess you wont be the guy asking the questions no more but the guy with the correct answers.
  12. take pictures. im confused if youve bent/broken them?
  13. i bought literally the first athena. not to run but to compared to the cylinders they copied poorly (vitos). i wrote this in 2009 on another forum when i got them: the description of the piston is wrong they are NOT forged moly coated pistons, they ARE a o.e.m. style(68mm though) CAST piston with a cheap tin coating. the intakes are too short to accept a stock reed cage. the larger water jackets that are mentioned are actually to small to use a stock water jacket plug and the kit doesn't supply any plugs so theres no way to keep this cylinder from leaking. the left cylinder has egg shaped intake bolt holes with threads only on the top portion of the screw cavity, intake bolts will thread in by hand but id bet they would strip if a allen wrench was used and they were tighten. back to the bore and piston, because of the piston they use and the triple ports its going to be short circuiting like crazy. the stock looking head with domes looks pretty good except that the domes are different then pro-design,vitos,modquad,noss etc. etc., they were 24cc also. theres alot more i could say about these but i'll stop here, if you want to pm me we could talk more.
  14. you fucked up. the vitos kit comes with head studs. it does not require you to remove the case studs.
  15. 7lbs difference in a a-arm frame to j-arm
  16. mines 28'' they appear to have switch to 30'' as of late
  17. ive got a autographed rookie k&t port card ill sell you
  18. you want to get the total height of the cylinder, should be 4.036/037. then you want to get from the top deck of the bore to the top of the exhaust port and tops of the transfer ports on the side.
