banshee smashes spark plug electrode?
n2otoofast4u replied to dtr7720's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Those $60 pistons are JUNK do not waste your time or money on them.. Have you pulled the motor apart yet and looked at the crank? I get the feeling that you think your gonna be able to put a set of pistons in it and go... Thats not gonna work out either... You need to pull the motor completely apart and get a good look at EVERYTHING... -
Are you spraying with them?

We run those exact ones on the sleds on body pannels and hoods that might need to come off to replace a belt when out on the trail, but why use them on a bike? When was the last time you took your plastics off mid ride?

Im not a politician, nor am I an overly weathly individual but this is part of the very problem with this country right now.. IMO egay has all but ruined the ATV industry.. I understand the idea to save a buck but all too often people are on there speding their AMERICAN dollar with companies that are everywhere but here.. No longer do most have the idea that when they are ready to go faster or they need parts they contact a local builder or a reputable builder and use them for their needs.. Instead they get on egay and buy 3rd or 4th party stuff that is nearly junk to try and save a buck, and then end up on places like this asking questions trying to get it all figured out.. These carbs are the same thing.. They are JUNK.. Are they cheaper? Yep. How often is cheaper better?? RARELY!! I know that most of the carbs at some point are purchased from an outside country, but even after paying the middle man or men their mark up as it comes through the states there still isnt a overly huge difference to what you bought your won ton BS for and gave your money to the won ton country. SHOP IN AMERICA, SHOP WITH PEOPLE WHO HELP THE SPORT, AND WHEN YOU CAN SHOP LOCAL.. JMO (my rant is now over)

Im with j-madd.... Unless you are running pavement distances, Id take the pump off, get another set of emulsion tubes and drill them to 122, change out those PJs to a set of clippards, find out what needle/seat setup you have and make them properly sized for gravity, and run without the pump.. No sence in adding stuff on that dont need to be there.. If its only 600cc then theres no reason to pump it unless you are running 1/4 mile or some crazy distance. Even then I think I would drill the passages, use bigger bowls, and a few simple things to avoid the pump.. Not saying it wont work with the pump if its setup right, just saying thats just one more thing to fail and cost you some cash..
-
First off.... That motor isnt very big at all!!! What size are the needle and seats? 132 seems WAY too big, and those PJs you have are the second ever invented.. Which way is the alky coming from that is going through the pulse line? Are you 100% sure you have it hooked up correct.. Its possible that there is so much fuel flowing through the reeds that it could back feed throught he pulse..

4mil cylinders 7 mil crank
n2otoofast4u replied to mikeymike1987's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
HMM its been some time, but I believe you should be able to have some domes made so that you wont need to run the stupid spacer plate. Im pretty sure that with the right piston and a recessed dome you can do it without a plate.. You will have to adjust your porting no matter what you do Im sure. -
They will all but fall out when you pull the cover off.. You will have no problems. Its just o-ring sealed.

36' Fury Tahoe (by Thor) 3 axle bumper puller... Open fron to back with front bed, 21+ feet of usable cargo. 6 volt battery setup (dry camp all weekend and nver fire the gen) Onan Marquise gold 5500 generator, fuel station, 2 fresh water tanks, side couch on one side that folds into bed, side benches on the other that folds into bed, as well as drop down bed in the back, and the master in the front.. Bathroom has toilet and shower in one room, and the sink in the hall.. (this makes it nice when everyone is trying to get ready, especialy the women!) Not perfect, but not bad.. We use it alot and love it, but its time for a motorhome.. Ok so heres the deal. I couldnt make up my damn mind about this and have turned a few people away because I thought I was gonna keep it. It is in the shop getting a few maintnace things done that when you live in Oregon I think you need to have done whether it needs ot or not to be sure that the thing stays good, as well as just fixing some stupid stuff that I was tired of seeing. So its getting all new sealant around the windows/doors/bottom molding/roof penatrations/ etc. Getting the diamond plate on the side fixed where the tire hit it when it blew out, (all 6 were replaced after that happened) and getting new flooring coverings put inside because it had some stains where the bikes had leaked fuel and stained it. Not to mention it was ugly as F! So with all of this done, Im going to set the price of the trailer at 14,500 OBO. Im taking delivery of my new to me coach late next week or early the following so this thing needs to go! It will be out of the shop late next week as well Im guessing and will be ready for delivery or pick up at that time.. These pictures were taken before I took it in. It will look exactly the same, other than the diamond plate around the tire will be fixed, and the floor will be a different color. Any questions just ask. 14,500 OBO

Someone willing to build a motor
n2otoofast4u replied to coogi3d's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Here is the reality of this, and like previously mentioned Im not bustin your balls I understand the money thing.. However, this is gonna be one of those deals that you get what you pay for. And if you cant afford to pay for a quality rebuild by a KNOWN builder or reputable member, then how are you going to afford to fix it AGAIN after the jakazz that was 50 bucks cheaper screws something up and then tells you to get lost when you try and get him to fix what they screwed up? The other side of this is gas is 3.50 a damn gallon.. If times are tough enough that you can afford to assemble the motor correctly then how are you gonna funnel fuel into it each time you take it out? Got the money for fuel? Then you have the money to have a QUALITY repair done.. JMO -
Works? Im not saying that it doesnt "work" Im just wondering how well it "works"!! I guess only time will tell, but until it runs a number and lives for longer than a few rips up and down your buddies road Im still going to be skeptical of how well it actually "works".. Im just sayin.. I know how well my turbo bike "works" at less boost than yours is making. Im not sure what your chassis setup is, but Im going to go out on a limb and guess its not overly well setup for something that is making to kind of power that you should be at 20psi of boost.. I could be wrong.. Good luck.. Hope it runs as well as should.

Like this one?

Hmm thats weird... Your using a "out in left field" setup, and its really inconsistant.. I cant imagine.. My bike is junk, you wouldnt like it.. And Im STILL waiting for pictures!
