  9. A crank is only as good as the person assembling it!! You can have a perfect billet set of wheels with perfect pins, and tolerances, but if the guy putting it together doesnt know/care to assemble it and weld it properly as well as use QUALITY bearings you are still going to end up with a pile of shit..
  10. I think that Zuki hit on it, but something that needs to be stressed about this is that this is open to EVERYONE... You dont need to have a drag bike, a fast bike, a special color of bike, be a racer, be a certain sex, anything.. As long as you are capable of operating your bike safely and have a helmet (other safety equipment is recomended but not necassary) you are ENCOURAGED AND WELCOME TO RACE.. This is an opportunity for people to race their buddies or anybody else in a somewhat oraganized race without fear of being of getting in trouble for racing.

  13. Pretty common actually. JB-Weld the hole shut, make sure you mix it right and let it dry really well.(full day in the house) and run it.
  14. carry on brother... Dont know what your story is but quite honestly (for reals) I dont really care. At any rate, yes there is miles of techonolgy and knowledge that is missed on most peoples clutch setup. Its just been in the last few years that Ive paid much attention to it, and after messing with the time loc, a hayes, and a couple other ideas, Ive resorted back to the "old fashioned ideas" but I do think the willburn setup is a good setup. My first concern is to not wreck parts, second concern is to get the bike down the track faster.. I did go back and read through all of this. Its my understanding that you are saying your same theorys apply from pavement to sand, not neccasarly the exact setup from one to another, and for that I completely agree. You can apply more power/less power in different areas of the track from one to the other, but yes the theory is the same.

  19. do you own a set of calipers? Lets start from scratch here.. #1 Im more than casually sure that SS cast a cyld capable of carying an 85 bore. The later castings were in fact able to go bigger, 78 for sure and I do believe that there are a few 80s around, but 85 is flirting with a few later model cylds that I dont think these were capable of #2 VERY FEW of these are setup for a stock stroke. You REALLY need to spend some time with a set of calipers and take some measurments on this.
