  1. IMO standard house insulation works better than any of the packings that you can buy, and its WAY cheaper!
  2. Yeah you smart CS leave us dumb washed up has beens alone!
  3. There are scimitars, cougars, and triple cougars out there that dont run pumps. Not that I would run a motor of that size without a pump, but a 10dm I would definately setup the carbs for gravity if your tank is in a factory location.
  4. thats a pretty thin head. Might have some issues.
  5. Ive never seen an odd number stgd...
  6. 300' sand or dirt? 14 out the rear is a MILE for that motor. Are you running a wheelie bar/struts at the track or no? IMO if its dirt with a bar/struts 22-11-8 12 or 14 stdg ext is where I would look to be.
  7. Not hard at all, but IMO if you can get away without a pump, DO IT.. Pumps are a pain in the ass. Just another thing to go wrong, just another part to have to hide, just another hose to run. If you can get away with a big needle/seat, a good pingel, and a good vent and supply the fuel DO IT.. What carbs are you trying to run and what motor?
  8. You are never gonna rip anyone off because nobody is dumb enough to buy that heap of shit for enough money to get ripped off. If you were half as smart as you think you were you would probably just fix it and sell it as a running motor. As it stands you have a pile of fuck shit that is not only dirty but isnt worth its weight in scrap..
  9. To your "new" number? If so that is classic!
  10. is there any gas in the tank? is the petcock on?
  11. locktite? Oh my... Best bet is to put your big boy pants on and dive in. Get yourself a manual, some very basic tools, a pencil/paper, and a camera if you think its needed. Start slow taking it apart and keep track of what goes where. There is VERY FEW parts involved in these things. I believe that bigred350x has a complete walkthrough hes done. No way to learn other than doing it. When you get it apart post a few pics and the members on here will help you get going back in the right direction.
  12. I've got an idea.. use that junk phone to call redline and ask..541-367-2453..
  13. I'm a washed up has been, but this guy knows what he's talking about! 99% of the people running a support don't need it because of HP reasons!
  14. 3M makes a really good chip preventing film that works really well. Call a good auto body supply shop.
  15. Did you see improvement in the 60 or ET?
  16. Either start the bike on first start with the chain on or the filters off.. BE PREPARED FOR IT TO RUN AWAY... It might not, but have a plan if it does other than pull the cord and run like some do.
  17. Go run shit out of it and report back.
  18. Yes.. 520/530 are the same roll. Obviously you cant run 520 chain on 530 sprockets but you can go the opposite way. If you are putting a conversion together the offset of the added rear sprocket width wont matter because you can set the motor wherever it needs to be for the alignment. There is an american spec chain that is also the same roll as 520/530 that has the width of the 530..
  19. What are you running that you need 530? Couple things to remember. You can run 530 chain on 520 rear sprocket. If you put a 530 in the rear it will throw off your alignment front to back. If you are running a JJ&A they offer the new style HD hub that the sprocket mounts to the outside that needs no modification to run the 530 stuff without alignment issue. Just some things to think about if your going to make the jump to the big stuff..
