Cooling? Are you not running this at a high rate of speed in frigid temps? With that much air movement and with the temp differential so high, there's no way you can convince me that with a good radiator there's going to be heat issues.

Are you certain you have a good ground? If you just PCd the frame you will need to grind off the PC and make sure you have a good ground on your coil and motor.

They aren't that bad to open up. A bit intimidating but when you get into it you will find they aren't that bad. Did you do a comp check or how do you know it lost compression? If you did that means it will turn over which is a bonus! Its hard to tell from the pics but the plug top looks speckled from deto but its hard to tell. Its not uncommon if its detoing to have the strap close up like that. Its there fresh "whack" marks or fresh "specs" of aulm on the plug?

Box gap plugs are fine. If your running forced induction then gapping them is needed. If your running NA pull them from the box and install them in the bike.

WAY less expensive, more power, less heat, and its cooler to say it runs on alky than it is to say it runs on gas.

The crank will most likely work. The cases will have to modded not only for the bore but the different rear stud location and cyld size. IMO the 39s will work fine, after that there isnt much that you have that will transfer. Your looking at cyld, head, domes, hardware, intake, reeds, pipes, and Id assume that you will need some additional stuff on the clutch side depending on how quality of a build your 465 is.
