  1. as great as this sounds, itll never happen. people will just start hoarding unnecessary parts. I fully agree that its an awesome idea, but awesome ideas require awesome people to carry it out. i hope this becomes a developing trend here at the HQ.

  3. this has been a question on my mind as well. if its an aftermarket light, there is usually only 2 wires coming from the housing itself. In most cases it is just 2 wires, so what do you splice or discard, if you have to hook up the black for regs, yellow for highs, and then where does the ground go? do you splice the 2 together and then connect the ground up by itself?

  6. Has anyone tried doing any heelguard mods? I was doing a search and nothing was coming up for "heelguard mod". Any yfz450 heel guard mods, or pro armor, or bling star or something. I dont see many people runing aftermarket heelguards on shees, and i dont want a full nerf, but the stock shee heelguards arent much for, well, protecting heels. If anyone has any information for this..pics, tutorials on bracket making, or knows of where a kit is sold, etc..please let me know!
  7. Start around 160 mains and 50 pilots, with the clip in the same position you have. Thats the jet selection i run on my 28's for 60+* weather. You may have to slightly adjust your carbs for YOUR elevation, because im sea level (0 feet above sea level). Good thing about pwk's is alotta people run pretty close to the same jetting, on a primarily stock bike with some pipes and little upgrades. These carbs are easy to tune and youll love em once everything is said and done

    phelps...your making this crazier than it needs to be bud.... i would be pissed if i got a carb and it was missing pieces, as well....regardless of what the piece is, or what it costs to replace. a DEAL is a DEAL. Seems like now-a-days you have to ask someone for a pictures of every inch of a parts before they send it or it comes and you get a big surprise! Id have to say, for as much ridicule as Alf got, i never once recieved a fucked up part from him...and furthermore, he would either send extra, or toss in a handful of stickers just because...

  13. well, what do you run in the summer? i know i run 160 mains, and 50 pilots in the summer on my stock stroke. for 20* weather i would say 175 mains and atleast 60's for the pilots.

  15. x2 on porting....right now it looks like you have a decent setup there for trails, if your riding trails. if your looking for a little something cheaper than porting and major motor work, you could always go ahead and make some airflow changes by removing the airbox lid or aftermarket filter(you will have to re-jet), and ditch the boost bottle for a regular stock crossover tube. WISECO or BUST for pistons..... speed isnt always everything as well. the hp you have can always be complimented well by a nice suspension. looks into maybe some new wider a-arms and shocks. you wont know what to do with yourself once you ride aftermarket compared to stock.
  16. 1' of pre-cut pvc - $2.50 tube of silicone - $2.50 metal schrader valve - $5 psi guage - $5 teflon tape - $2 ...no offense man, but its easier and cheaper to just build your own, and this thread isnt gonna go anywhere.
  17. Ok there are a couple things to address here...1. Thats a crazy long run-on sentence. I had to read it twice. Acquaint yourself with the "period" ( . ) key. It should be somewhere around the bottom right-hand side of your keyboard, next to the shift key. 2. You ride trails....who needs rpm's? You ride trails! I was looking at the vector/ endurance because its a slightly simpler design with the same functionality. Its speed, temp, and distance. Id like to see a write up on a vapor or endurance install. Someone just did a vector install not too long ago and it came out fine..i think it was someone named "drewski" or something
  18. This is a cool thread. I dont know how many builders would be so eager to "give away their secrets" to just about anyone. I guess when you have nothing to hide, and everything to prove it doesnt matter. If i had a facebook, i would be psyched to pick up some tips and check your work out.

  20. I guess theres quite a few things that could be impacting your problem. But first, i would start by doing the following: 1. run the bike with no airbox lid. it breathes alot better. 2. bump your mains up to 280's 3. drop pilots to 25 or 27...whatever stock is. 4. how is spark?
