  1. That looks like it deserves to be in a Banshee museum somewhere!
  2. Yeah I mainly ride trails and woods and will only see sand on special trips. I guess an advantage to the paint would be that I can do all the work myself and can just mix up extra for touching up as I get chips in it.
  3. My motor will be a ported 4 mill when I get it back...I figured it would be a handful with a stocker but maybe ill just try it and see what I think first
  4. I just want to clear this up because people keep telling me otherwise...I want the most durable and longest lasting finish on my metal parts...I always thought powdercoating is the way to go but I keep hearing that it chips easy and is hard to repair small chips...the only way I can see it being less durable then paint is if they didn't do very good prep work or apply the powdercoat correctly...does this sound about right or am I mistaken? How long has your powdercoating held up to different riding conditions?
  5. I had finally made up my mind and was going to go with a +4 but now I think maybe I should go with a +2...my main concern is that I will end up with a wheelie machine that u have to fight to keep the front wheels down lol
  6. when u get rid of it do u just plug the hole where the line goes and fill it up and your good to go?
  7. i was actually just looking at the pics of your new swingarm loco...that thing is sick with the stellar logo on the back!! i have been debating on going with the roundhouse style swingarm since i am planning to stretch it out a lil bit. what are the advantages of the roundhouse vs. stock style? and what all else do you need to buy...just the carrier housing?
  8. thats the way i was lookin at it but i just dont wanna think back and wished i got it lol...basically the only thing its good for is increasing travel right? i like to jump and ride the mx tracks but im not tryin to be competition level...im sure stepping up to the elka setup alone is gonna blow my mind
  9. are the Elka Dual Rear Linkage setups really worth the money? they run around 600 and before i dropped the cash wanted to see if anybody had tried them and how well they work
  10. do any of the site sponsors have an elka connection...im lookin to order front and rears within the next week and would like to support the sponsors if possible...if not where can i find the best deals?
  11. how well do you like the all allen head bolts compared to regular hex heads? and as far as completeness, was there very many extra bolts you had to find that werent included or is there a bunch of stuff in the kit that doesnt even go on a banshee lol? after my last purchase i'm a lil weary and want to buy one that has been tried and can be trusted
  12. anybody know where to find a quality bolt kit? i bought one off of ebay and was pretty dissappointed in it. i will not even use most of the stuff in it. i have my banshee completely tore down and would like to replace every bolt on it. so has anybody bought a really good kit?
  13. i bought my banshee completely stock and never even changed the pipes...now i have it completely tore down and gonna do a frame up makeover with a dune ported 4 mil...lol...im prolly gonna shit myself when i ride it the first time...lol
  14. i have one of those stands off of ebay and its pretty nice...Definitely make yours so that it swivels. its got holes in the base so that you can bolt it to your bench to keep it from moving when wrenching too...only complaint ive got is that you really have to tighten the hell outta the bolt to keep it from swiveling. just some things to consider in your design. If i woulda known you were going to start making something similar i woulda held off and got one from you
