CarvedArt started following Banshee Digital Toolkit

I've updated the BDT and added it to GitHub for download... https://github.com/RealCarvedArt/BansheeDigitalToolkit

Here's a small update: Banshee Digital Toolkit v2.10 https://my.pcloud.com/publink/show?code=XZGsQqkZlB5cKFPhCRuomlYSYEYsdBcWtbsk (updated link as of May 20, 2020) Here are some additional hard to find resources: https://my.pcloud.com/publink/show?code=kZp9LqkZxczjHSI0FM88LemJSD0nSR7hvkNX These are the latest links. I just had someone check and they were able to download everything. I can't edit any posts I make after a brief period of time so I have to keep adding posts instead of just updating the links. When you click the download button, Download as ZIP, it prompts for you to create a free pCloud account, you can or you can click, No, thanks. Start the download. I've shared the folder and each of the files, but it appears that it won't allow you to download just a single file without a direct link. It will allow you to download all of the folder's contents as a ZIP file (word of caution there is a 435.5MB file in the mix). It also appears to allow you to download individual files if you choose more than 1.

How to download without an account... Follow the 4Shared.com links Select the file that you're interested in downloading Copy the file's URL (e.g.: http://www.4shared.com/get/fMvcVwpw/bansheedigitaltoolkit_v201xlsx.html) Goto: http://www.4server.info/ Paste the URL in the input box: "put link of your file (www.4shared.com/type/id-file/name-file.html) in the box" Click: "Generate Link" It will generate a direct download link and begin downloading the file! (If it doesn't autostart click on the highlighted file name NOT the button) Example output: http://www.4server.info/download/4shared.com/zip/fMvcVwpw/bansheedigitaltoolkit_v201xlsx.html

A couple things could cause them to close. The most obvious would be the piston is hitting the electrode. Carbon build-up on the piston top from running too much oil. Or an overheat/detonation condition. You could place a washer on the spark plug to raise it a little just to see if it's hitting or overheating. If it's hitting try cleaning the carbon off of the piston top, you can use a spray bottle with just water, warm-up the motor, take the air filter(s) off, and lightly mist the inlets while keeping the RPMs up. Water does not burn, but steam does compress so don't get too crazy; you should see a lot more smoke than usual. When it's done steam cleaning the black smoke will subside. Or it could be running too rich. You might also consider altering your premix ratio (less oil). Other things to think about why it could be hitting: Is the head shaved too far? Are you missing a head gasket? Are the plugs too long? Are the piston domes too tall? Is the stroke to long? Etc. If it's running lean that's a meltdown on it's way.

It could still possibly fire when the RPMs are up if there's a gap in the plug cap that will let a hot enough spark jump. With improper resistance you can experience erratic idle, high-rpm misfire, power loss at certain RPMs and abnormal combustion. I would get 2 new caps and go from there.

If your plugs are wet fouling then you're rich... Those reeds are going to richen up your mid-range you may need to go leaner on your needles (move the clip up 1) If you go to 260s does yours pop? Go here and find your elevation: www.earthtools.org Then adjust accordingly: about +1 on the mains for every 1500' higher and -1 for every 1500' lower Also as the temperature goes up it gets richer (air gets thinner as it's heated) Ambient temperatures above 90 deg F = -1 on the mains Ambient temperatures below 60 deg F = +1 on the mains or you could put your airbox lid back on when the temp drops Don't know what your premix ratio is: 20:1 = up to +2 on the mains 24:1 = up to +2 on the mains 32:1 = 0 on the mains 40:1 = up to -2 on the mains 50:1 = up to -2 on the mains

Go here: https://rapidshare.com/users/banshee/ Select: Banshee Docs Download: Yamaha_Banshee_YFZ350_Service_Manual__Searchable_.zip (Ctrl+F) Search for: Troubleshooting 1 there are some items to start testing. To test the ohms across the plug caps simply remove the plug caps from the wires, they usually just unscrew. Then measure resistance by placing an ohmmeter probe on each end of the plug cap (metal that touches the sparkplug and metal that screws into the wire); it should be 5K. See other test procedures in the doc referenced above for a method to test the complete assembly first. Another item to check is the polarity of the coil wires - Orange wire to "+" and Black wire to "-", many were backwards from the factory (note: you may need to go 1-size larger on the mains and adjust the air screws). If you have T.O.R.S. still hooked-up you could disconnect it at the little brain box - it's mounted on the left-side of the upper frame rail kind of between the petcock and the bottom of the radiator. It has a white three-way connector just unplug it and start it up. If you no longer have T.O.R.S. it should definitely be disconnected.

Hey WINDY thanks for the input! I'm feelin the Chuck Norris vibe... if everyone would like it renamed I'm not attached to anything. Like I said, this is just a little something I did to give back to the Banshee family. If it's of value to the masses then I'll continue to dedicate time as I can to improve it, If it's not I'd rather not waste your time. I also see that 4shared is getting more difficult to navigate so I've created a new space on Rapidshare: https://rapidshare.com/users/banshee/ I'm open to ideas and suggestions as well.
