  1. Just because it makes 140 hp and you add 60 hp from nitrous doesn't mean you get 200 hp .
  2. Bansheefromhell has some in the parts section
  3. I was going to post your fs link up yesterday but didn't since he said "not drag".
  4. For complete arms, spindles and tie rods? Will you text me some closer pictures to my phone? 580-304-4185. Thank you
  5. Will you sell the arms and spindles separate from the frame ?
  6. Just start with a frame that has a title then... Problem solved. Maybe a roller
  7. Put the pipe down before you burn your fingers again
  8. Looks to me like a drag frame banshee with the oof pipes sitting on top....all looks normal to me.
  9. Pipe seems to be a bit low. Either way I think that's pretty sick
  10. The time isn't the issue. The build is the whole point of this and if it could be cost effective. The answer is yes. In this used market more people are selling more complete piece of shits than ever. When he starts this he can make a build thread and have some fun with it. Everyone is going to have questions... So what it's part of the game. I'm not at all saying he SHOULDN'T buy a complete bike first. Just giving my opinion and views on how a piece by piece build can be done easily.
  11. I see what you mean now. He says he has time so he can do some searching around and find some nice stuff IMO. If you can get drag stuff for that price I don't see why you couldn't get a dune or trail ported stock cylinder motor for less. The carbs will cost less also. He has a wide array of options. Will he come out about the same as buying a complete bike or maybe a bit more for the exact bike he wants ??? Yes I do believe so. The important thing is it will be exactly how he chooses and gets the " thrill of the build " .
  12. I've seen several drag motor setups go from 2500-3k for motor, carbs, filters, pipes, electrical. So I don't think it hard to imagine getting a stock cylinder setup for the same or less. What hard parts are you speaking of. I think one of the hardest things for me to find was a complete motor mount setup and that wasn't all that hard. And at that it cost me 15 but I had many sets found with the most being 30$. I'm just having a hard time figuring out what your meaning by hard parts.
  13. Then a nice ported stock cylinder or a ported 4 mill stock cylinder woul do you good . Can get that done for a very decent price. I think you'll be very happy with a from scratch build.
  14. A 522 piece stainless bolt kit is 135$ shipped
  15. There are always going to be two sides to everything. I'm not much more into my DRAG build than that and all I lack is an axle. I didn't powder coat so you can add another 250-400 for that depending on prices you can get.
  16. A good thing to know would be what type of riding will you be doing.
  17. Like he said though I say make it your own and do it yourself
  18. At used prices these days I don't think it will be as costly as it has been in the past
  19. I didn't put my motor together but I put everything else together and bought separate almost everything . I had a real good time doing it how I wanted it. Wasn't hard to find everything I needed.
  20. You can buy complete bolt kits for a banshee so that should be no problem. I've seen several sets of motor mounts around. I for one got tired of seeing banshees with some stuff I wanted and some stuff I didn't. So I just bought good used quality stuff, did some things myself and I'm still very low $$ wise into this build .
  21. Yea but if he wants to build it up and have that satisfaction it's ok. Also if he has the time for it. To explain what I meant a little more. You could buy a complete set of wheels and tires you like. Find a good motor that was just re done ( provided they have pictures or you know for a fact it was done by someone reputable). I'm sure you could get motor, carbs, pipes, electrical for somewhere in the range of 2500-3k. Then get whatever a-arms,swinger,etc that YOU like and the colors you want.
  22. If nothing else buy the big components used that are like new. You will be way cheaper off that way. Kind of like I did. I bought the big ticket items I wanted just at a way discounted price. Just pick out everything you want and make it the way you want it .
