  1. My topend didnt change at all i just cut them off and straighten them up and turned them to get to fit. They are way easier to put on the yfz then any other pipe i looked at. Also they are the the best running pipe i have tried. I have nothing but good things to say about the swap. I will never go back.
  2. The brakes are better i think and i think this chassis hooks up better when i was at our horseshoe drags this weekend. I put a 40 tooth rear and a 14 front im going to change to a 15 front before weekend. My kicker doesnt hit the bolt but does hit the rear brake lever you can see the shiney spot where it hits. There is a thick wire deal weled on the lever you have to cut off to. Im real happy with it. Its a blast to ride.
  3. Its a little dirty but here it is done. i rode it alot this weekend rides great.I need some better plastic and wheels and a seat. But it works for now.
  4. Any of you guys run any of these?I have a set and was thinking of running them. How do they compare to carbon fiber stock cage reeds? Thanks
  5. Yea you talking about cheap that yfz in the back ground i bought with a blowed up crank and a new hot rod crank in the box the guy bought and never did anything with.Plus another frame set of wheels and paddles for a $1000 bucks. I took it apart and went threw motor and got about $1300 in it now.You see alot of them just rollers for $500 or a little under around here if you look.
  6. Plugs clear tank fine must be the pic.Cam i didnt even think about building new mounts how much lower do you think you could get the motor ? I thought it was about right in the frame compared to the measurements i took off the banshee frame.Do you think it will affect how it handles? If it does affect it i will build some this next winter and change it again. The -2 swingarm is for TT racing actual i was going to try it for our horseshoe racing. It might be a wheelie machine.
  7. Thanks its still not perfect i painted it with my paint gun outside next winter i will tear down again and powder coat it
  8. I got alot done this evening what do you guys think? I have a -2 custom swingarm but i have to get a roundhouse carrier before i can put it in so have to run the the stock swingarm and axle for a while really cant make it look real good. You guys got any good ideas to make it look a lit tle better for a while. Heres the pics so far.
  9. My motor is back together now just have to get the chassis put back together and motor back in. I will take some oics tonite while im working on it of my lower strut mounts and of my paint job on my frame. I might have it finished by the end of weekend.
  10. I do agree on how they feel. i have a plus 2 stem and the bars still feel way to low and the seats are terrible. I put a lowering kit on the back and left the front up feels alot better now.I have thought about buying a stock stem and cutting it apart and making one like a plus 5 or something to get the bars up like a shee.
  11. No big deal you just dont know how many people have give me a hard time about this swap. I drag raced cars for years then the track shut down so i started hoseshoe dragging atvs. We swapped motors in cars and no one thinks or says anything about it.But you do it to a quad and it becomes impossible and everyone talks it down.
  12. Did you shorten your wiring harness and mount the cdi box up front like a yfz? Where did and how did you mount your coil? Just asking seeing different ideas.
  13. I dont know yet when i get mine back together i will weigh it and post it on here.
  14. I have nothing but good things to say about it. Some people just talk crap about everything. I wont ever go back to a banshee frame. My pipes i didnt change anything on them except cut them loose and straighten up the ends and turn them and weld back.I lengthened the mid pipes about 2 inchs i dont see that changing anything.I have heard it all ,it wont be balanced ,it will throw chains ,it cant be done , it will look like crap. I just did it because i wanted to and i have a yfz and like how it handles. I can go between them both and its easier to switch back and forth. I did all of mine myself this winter it was to cold to do anything else so my time was cheap. I do horseshoe drags and are first test and tune is saturday hope to have mine back together in time im not sure i will gain anything on the corner or the launch i will see.Im pretty sure i have lost some weight i dont know how much.
