    if you get lost, just ride in one direction for about 10 mins and you will at least hit a fence. follow that and within another 10 mins, you'll be at a gate. you can get lost, but not lost for long, haha.

    preload is an easy thing to adjust. if you have the free time next time you go out riding, try a couple of different setups. it all really comes down to rider preference and you may like something you wouldn't have ever thought.

    I've seen a couple people avoid bigger issues with the rangers just by not bring a total prick/smart ass to the rangers if they do happen to stop you. however, if you call one sweet lips and tell them your name is "go fuck yourself", probably a guaranteed trip to alva county.

    jd said the paddla brats are also wider than a normal tire like skat trak or something, so i dont know if that would mean you would want to run a wider wheel also.

    for a cheap set of tires, get on amazon and look for ams sidewinder v-paddles. they are a decent paddle, not too heavy and are usually pretty cheap. i got a set of 10 paddle v-paddle tires for my wifes bike for like $26 each. those are being made anymore though.

    that amount of caster would aid in going in a straight line, but those sure are beefy looking for a drag arm. although that does look excessive, throw it together and see how it rides. in theory, it will of course be more of a fight to turn and stuff, but it may not be that bad. i built a lot of caster into my drag frame arms and never really noticed a "difficult" turn. of course i wasn't going through the trails, but i didn't really notice anything weird.
