they are k&n filters with the outer wears. the outer wears have a small hole rubbed in each one from the air box mounting tab thingys. not a huge deal, can get picks if you want.

i just bought pods for my stock carbs, made two trips to the dunes, and just bought new carbs. i now need pods to fit mikuni 34mm's. my pods fit stock carbs (guessing up to 28mm) and are practically new. have outer wears for them also. anyone need smaller pods?

i run a 13 in front and like it alot better. you should just swap it out and see if you like it. if at the end of the day you dont like it, big deal, you only spent 20 mins total of your time to swap it. no t much to lose here...

i havent rejetted yet. i already had a kn filter with the air box completely removed (except a little piece to hold up the coolant tank) so i thought i might be ok. obviously i was wrong. ya, mine is making a huge sucking sound as well. i just bought the bike about 2 months ago but shee has seemed to be jetted pretty good. no noticable problems. how many sizes should i bump the mains? anything else i should do?? i was thinking about moving the needle clip position, but i am totally new to jetting so i dont know for sure. any help would make a huge difference. thanks

is this normal. i figured i might lose a little bottom end, but it has no power until i get like half throttle then she runs great. i thought if anything, the pods would make me run lean, but it feels like i am way rich. anyone else experience this and have any advice? thanks

i run the sidewinders on my she and my wife runs the sand snakes on her honda. i have been impressed with them. they are a very light tire and the sidewinders have a paddle height of 1 1/8" i believe. reasonable price and good quality. slap me if i'm wrong cu i didnt look it up, but when i bought my sidewinders, i compared them hand in hand to the sand stars and the sidewinders were way lighter to me. and alot cheaper. just my .02

so i was out riding around for a min earlier today just because i had to pull my shee outta the garage. smokes decently at startup and possibly cuz shee's jetted a little off. anyways, some guy takes the time to stop when i pull back up at the house to let me know shee was smokin out the exhaust and i am probably burning oil. he said it cant be good then i said, ya you are prolly right seems how its a 2 stroke. then he said how his brother works on atv's and i should take it to him to look at. ya... thanks buddy. thanks for the great advice...

takin my wife on her first dune trip. anybody got any advise on wehre to camp and stuff. prolly just do the tent thing. where is the best place to park. looks kinda far to get from one side of the dunes to the other.

i agree. i just bought my 2001 about a month ago here locally with t5, reeds, elka fronts, +2+1 arms and other small stuff for 2700. found on craigslist btw.

sweet idea. i could not come up with anything close to that, but i think it is a little unidentifiable. love the idea though, great start too.
