  1. no longer running the v-paddles, but basically still the same otherwise... on the outside anyways.
  2. ya, there wans't any play in the shaft itself. and just my luck, i called k&t to order the bearing and they are at some races out of state and wont be back until next week. i was hoping to get everything back together to get on some sand this weekend.
  3. so i took everything out down to the clutch basket to check this brass bushing you speak of. as you said, it does have some play in it when i try to tilt it back and forth. question is, is there an acceptable range of play, or should there be no play at all? it doesn't seem bad, but if replacing it with the needle bearing will fix my ticking noise, i will def replace it. anyone else have this problem before??
  4. dang... wish i could find 3 sets of wheels and tires for $120.
  5. i have ran this stuff in my banshee ever since i can remember. its what my grandpa used on my first banshee ever and never had any problems. i still run it when i can find it, but dont have any local suppliers.
  6. shit, i'll try to make it. might have to make it a short overnighter or something. i just found out yesterday that i got orders to move to okc. great because i'm two hours closer to the dunes, but shitty because i have to be moved by the end of june and i have a ton of shit to do to the money pit everyone calls a house before i can even think about selling it. may is also a crazy busy month at the office.
  7. i would like to know as well. i have a rattling sound coming from about the same area, but have never had any clue what it was. they way you describe it, sounds just like what mine sounds like. i have yet to split my cases since i got the bike, but maybe its time.
  8. just do it. even if you have to pay $100 for it (just sayin), still cheapest power for the $$$$. i run the chariot, found it on ebay i think for like $40.
  9. i picked up a set of these for $85 or so shipped about a year ago. i have no complaints, but i dont do any serious racing. just playin around in the sand...
  10. ya, kinda pussed out leaving when we did, but it looked cold as shit in your vid anyways, magz. glad everyone made it home safely, even though there were a couple close calls. it was good to see everyone again and meet a bunch of new people. tim, thanks for all the help with everything. doubt i'll be there for snake hunt but look forward to the next trip.
  11. this would prolly explain why i had to cut the bolts off to get them loose...

  13. anyone got a set of old stock pegs they wanna part with and bring to the dunes?? i can get some for like $20 off ebay, but dont really wanna mess with it. with so many people comin, figured it wouldn't hurt to ask...
  14. well me and the wife are still plannin on being there wed, mid-afternoon prolly. so many people gonna be there, i'm confused about when everyone is getting there. i'll be in lsps 2c, white f250 and ghetto camper trailer, cant miss it.
  15. pretty sweet lookin bike. not sure what bikes go for locally there, but doubt you'll get 4400 for it. i would check craigslist for other banshees around there and price yours higher/lower in comparison to how nice other ones are. would help to get more specifics about the motor, maybe you could contact whoever did the work. they should know.
  16. wish i was closer, that looks pretty sweet...
  17. cut em ff. i had the same issue and they rubbed holes through my outer wears and wore on the filters. i just cut them off. dont know exactly what they were for, but haven't needed them since...
  18. try easy stuff first... take your carbs apart and clean everything. uses a small piece of wire, like a wire brush bristle, to clean the holes in the jets. try new plugs, maybe those ones work, but are past their prime. if you already did this, sorry, i'm new...
