so you are telling me that if you build a bigger motor, that it will have more power?? i dont buy it, i need proof.
in spite of the trickery sherlock holmes speaks of above, i have a different opinion. comparing the cheetah to a dm or dmx i like comparing stockers to a cub. the power valves effectively lower the exhaust port while closed to produce more torque down low until they open. once they open, you now have an exhaust port as high, if not higher than any other drag ported cylinder (like the cub). you can change the point in the rpm's when the power valves are opened and closed to fine tune to what you like to ride. as far as the 400 compare to the 421, thats no different than any other size comparison. the 400 is actually a 392; stock stroke 68mm bore. the 421 is a +4 mil stroke, 68mm bore. I happen to own a 392 and absolutely love it. riding a pv motor is different than anything you have ever felt. i could easily trail ride the shit out of this motor and it actually has a pretty mean drag port, it just doesnt show until the pv's open.
if you are considering one, dont hesitate. they are worth the time and money to get one setup properly. my advise is to find a builder that knows their way around a cheetah. by that, i mean that they know what to fix or watch out for from trinity that has given the cheeatah a bad wrap in some cases. if you use the domes trinity gives you with the "kit" i would almost promise you would have problems. mine needed a few adjustments and tweaks that trinity over looked, but it flat rips now. it really is a fun motor to ride.
