  1. not my point. your constant point anytime cheetahs get brought up is that they are worthless and are UNABLE to run good at all. just because you couldn't figure it out doesn't mean it can't be done. all i am trying to do is let people know that they can run. i don't even have to beat anyone to prove that, i just have to be able to run with them, which i can. that's all i am trying to say.... not saying they are the best, just that they are not the pieces of shit you try to make them out to be. my original post replying to the OP was my opinion and thats it. everything since has been responding to your nonsense.
  2. you're right... every cub i have ever raced probably just didn't have any time or talent into them. never thought of it like that. guess i'm the only one at the dunes that pays people to build their motor. thanks for clarifying.
  3. i have 0 time on a dyno to extensively tune my bike and several people on here can probably speak to how good it runs... 392 btw. and camatv was the one that built it and to say his "true skill" is overall bike setup is funny because all he did was my motor; granted, he did my WHOLE motor because it was a basket case from trinity, maybe that is part of it too. i built/setup my own chassis, which i think works well, but i would give my bike credit due to the motor more than chassis setup . you have a grudge against pv motors because yours never ran while i am biased to them because mine runs amazing, so really, maybe both of our opinions should be taken with a grain of salt. i understand your point of view and can relate to your frustrations with cheetahs, but they can be built to run right. sure, they aren't for everyone, but it is funny how you discourage EVERYONE from them. you seem to have a boner about dyno's and i don't have much to say about them because i have never used a dyno with this motor, but i will say i would put my 392 cheetah up against any 421 cub out there (in the sand, not the dyno). not saying its faster than all, but it will run with many bigger bikes out there...
  4. might be ok, but is $45 worth of meth worth the chance of blowing something up?? if the alky is stored off concrete in a sealed steel drum, might be ok, but i wouldn't risk it. maybe i'm paranoid???
  5. i wouldn't be opposed, but would rather trade so i don't have to sell low and buy high...
  6. kinda what i was wondering, but i haven't had ressie in years so i thought maybe i was missing something.
  7. these are 10x2 with a smaller tire... lokking for a 10x4 with a 18-19 inch tire or some different 10x2's with a bigger tire.
  8. if you don't have any luck finding any, let me know. i have some white delrin i could make you some with.
  9. here are mine... they are 10x2. been wanting to get some 10x4 for the dunes. interested?
  10. of course, powder coat will always be much more durable.. just thought i would clarify my stance on durability.
  11. if you prep everything good, paint will hold up decent. i painted my last frame and it came out awesome. if you spring for a pricey self-etching primer, i used mar-hyde (spelling??), it will help a lot too. then i just used a single stage dupont nason and it came out really nice. i'm not a painter but it still came out respectable i think.
  12. he is absolutely right. i just ordered a set of these to build a set of arms. the load rating waaay surpasses most others, i know its just a number, but a lil piece of mind no less. i called the guy before ordering them because after talking to matt, i was skeptical and also scared of cheap heims. the guy at asr didnt try to upsell them or even really sell them at all. he simply had all the confidence in the world and then told me in the last 10 years, he has only had one ever fail, that he knows of.
  13. i actually just got a N down 1-5 from him a couple of weeks ago. first trip on it was the HQ ride and it performed flawlessly. one thing i noticed compared to the 3 other overrides i have used, is this one had very positive shifts. in other words, i knew exactly when i shifted and what gear i was in. still smooth and easy as anything, but the feedback from it helped me alot. it is my favorite override i have used up to this point.
  14. man, this is so dumb i don't even want to jump in... but i will anyways. to compare 100hp to 100hp is retarded. i think a better comparison would be to take the $10k it takes to build a 100hp 4-poke and build one. then take the same $10k with a banshee, spend $3k to make 100hp and then spend the other $7k on a chassis until you get it setup right, then buy multiple sets of tires and spend time setting it up to be able to actually USE the 100hp at high rpms. then, you would have an unstoppable machine beating down on much bigger bikes. the only reason you see big raptors and 450's beating up on comparable power banshees is because the banshees aren't setup right. it takes a lot more time and trial-and-error tuning to get power with rpm's to the ground than it does power with no rpm's. k, i'm done.
  15. pics from today. not as shiny as they used to be... spot where finish rubbed on something... holes for egt sensors. can be plugged or i can possibly include the clamps for the sensors... small dent on the inside of the right pipe...
