I live in Missouri, in high school I had my banshee street legal with car license plates on it. The way I did it was just take it to some hole in the wall mechanic that does car inspections. The guy who did ours didn't even take them off the trailer, he just looked at the serial #'s and wrote up the inspections. We took them to the DMV and the lady was pissed, asking questions about it having seat belts, turn signals, blah blah blah, and we just referred her to our inspection slips. She even pulled out a book that was probably 50 lbs and started trying to find a way not to give us the plates. Every cop I ever saw pulled me over though. They would tell us there was a loop hole in the law and it would soon be fixed, never heard anything after that. They'd ask why we didn't have helmets on, and legally we didn't need them because it was a 4 wheel vehicle. Never got a ticket or anything, one even told us that we had to have a big orange flag on the back of it which is BS. Point is, at least in MO, if you have the inspection slip there isn't much they can do.

So you make over $250k? Because if you don't, Obama's taxes are going to be less for you than Bush's. I want to add, I'm not an Obama supporter. He was just the lessor of 2 idiots.

But wasn't it the same, or worse, under the previous President? I think it is the system more than anything. All politicians built up our spending, it wasn't one party. I think the difference between the 2 is who they are taxing to get that money. Again, I think this is how the government is setup, and it doesn't matter what party is running it. The congress is going to spend no matter who is in office, or who is in congress for that matter.

Man, I hear what you guys are saying about the seat belt laws and I agree it's bullshit. But what does that have to do with Obama? That's your local and state govt decisions. I'll be the first one to agree that our govt is fucked, but this dude's been in office for 3 months. We we're fucked well before he got there. I know it's a touchy subject, and I'm not trying to offend anyone. But what other option was there? I think the system is the problem more than anything. Just my $.02. Our rights were being infringed upon well before Obama stepped into office.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I bought another Banshee last week, it's a completely stock 03 and it had been in storage for a couple of years with the gas in it. First time I started it you could just tell it wasn't all there. Just cleaned out the carbs and the air box and it runs like new. My last Banshee I didn't get too technical with it, all I had were pipes. Now with this one I want some good mods too it and figured this was the place to get all the info I can handle. And after reading through some posts I realize I have ALOT to learn. Just bought some SST pipes, next will be a timing plate, and some cool heads. Figured those were the best starting points.
