  1. are the LED's replcable? 12,000 mcd isn't enough for me, But it might be worth it just for the bracket.
  2. Where do you guys get shees for $3000?? I was checking the trader and the lowest I sceen was around $4000 and that was for an 80 something...Looking for one myself. The 450's are nice but they are about $1000 mroe than a piped Banshee too.
  3. Well I finished the circuit today here is a pic...Now I just need to Fab some brackets Ill only be using 4 of these 8 LEDs though.
  4. anyone have a semi detailed map from San Diego to Dumont? Im also still working on it, but I won't have a clue for sure untill last minute since you never know with college and all. Is Dumont going to be too windy for tent camping? There is no possible way Ill be able to pull a trailer or anything, other than my little one that my bike fits on.
  5. Nitro Blast for RC cars is supposed to be paint-and finish safe (test first) But this shit works great! Very expensive though....
  6. Yea your screwed thats why no1 likes to paint things chrome, It dulls with the oil in your fingers. I would sand it back down re-primer and paint with another color..I have NEVER had good luck with chrome paints no matter what kind...It looks great but it is way to soft, or brittle, and usualy and easy to dull, even after compleatly dry.
  7. pretty soon there will be no such thing as a stock banshee....As it is now I rarely see a banshee stock...For the extra $1000 you have to spend to get the YFZ you can do pipes filter and porting and a banshee and it will spank it You can go ahead and spend another $1000 on the YFZ and it would probably be a close race, but the banshees acceleration should allow it to win.
  8. probably lightly sand the whole thing and go over it with another coat. This is why plastic can be tricky to paint. Make sure your doing nice thin light coats. its likely there is a little oil etc right there so I would sand inside the scratch also.
  9. I would suggest converting to DC with a voltage rectifier and maybe a capacitor to stabalize the current otherwise they will probably flicker at idle. Most Neons will either run off 110V wall power (Banshee has a regulator to 14.3 peak). or else they typicaly use 12V DC (computers etc) so yo will need to rectify and stabalize the current for best results. Im working currently on some High Powered LED's Brighter than you have ever sceen before. A typical superbright LED is probably around 6000-8000mcd each these LED's are over 1 million each. they put off enough light to compeat with low wattage Xeon bulbs are are very efficient at 1-3 watts each at up to 80 lumens each... it's a bit complicated to wire them up yourself (they require HS and a special circuit), but if my project is successful I won't mind making a few for members on this forum at a very reasonable price. But I don't expect to have them finished for another 3-6 weeks depending on a few factors. So if you do not want to wait you could try what I suggested.
  10. sounds good Minkia glad to hear you have not had any issues. Most people I have talked to have had problems with the neons frying (maybe from vibration or crappy circuits)...at least those that do not run battery kits. Ill definately post some pics in the pictures forum when I finish. I have just about have everything I need for the Circuit, minus a few resistors and the project bax and some thermal epoxy. The mounts will be the hardest part to fabricate, but A dremel should hopefully be enough.
  11. looking at dynos the scherer pipes for the strokers looked pretty sweet, they seemt o pull longer than the CPI's but they don't pull untill your in hgher RPM's Fattys pulled their peak the fastest on the same dyno I was looking at the other day and the CPI's were closer to the scherer's, they came on sooner but left off at about 1000-2000 less RPM's. CPI inframes that is..
  12. I only had problems with the parking brake TORS connection, the parking brake stopped working anyways ditch that shit and pickup a block off and a new throttle.. TORS get in the way when jetting more than anyting.
  13. Always get a VIN# and check to see if the ATV is stolen... If your crazy enough to do it, use a platinum card, so you can dispute payment after you get ripped off... Another note, why don't you just trade your banshee straight up for a rapturd? The Banshee is worth more and is a much better bike over all, someone will trade you straight up im sure..
  14. my a manual if you can't remember you will need it anyways.
  15. damn your running straight 118 with that thing, How compression are you running? I havent had that problem with the castor yet, but when i store the shee for long periods I do like Jim Says and turn the fuel off untill she idles dead. Shake the bike around a bit before I start it back up..I been running 36/1 so a little richer. Could this really fast amount of seperation have to do with temperature ?
  16. cool man, he wasen'y lying, you can make crappy speakers sound much better than others by using a good amp. Otherwise they will all sound about the same crappyness. I notice sometimes companies will do this to sell you the speakers they make the most profit off (not impying this is your case). Are you sure the crossover does not seperate the Tweeters from the Mids? Most components come with a crossover that you plug both sets into but it is just for the tweeters. Im not up to date but I know the concepts. My Face does not allow front and rear adjustments seperately , just fade.....That adjustment is a nice feature for fine tuning really, but you should not rely on it to fully adjust; Although it will get you by untill you upgrade that shit
  17. buy a 400ex; shees are made to go fast not do wheelies. In fact IMO they are designed NOT to do wheelies, thats why they made the front end so heavy and are more stable.
  18. if I count silver and gold links I took off 15 from the stock D.I.D. Xring. Im runnning stock siwngarm stock rear sprocket and a 15 tooth up fron't. Should get you close Good luck..
  19. well, for thsoe who doubt you can successfully underlight an ATV with 2 durable blue LEDS, or have given up the idea, just wait a month and ill have pics
  20. The banshee looks nicer and in better shape than those 400's Im guessing its more expensive by a good amount though.
