  1. thats the whole fun with a 13 tooth! just lean forward more...lol leaning forward will help alot of course... getting a -2 will make your problem worse Getting a +2 will help alot. Do not get a -2 for sand, if anything run stock over a -2 you will have better controll. I'll tell you that most of your problem is from the 10 paddle haulers. that is WAY to much paddle for a stock/piped banshee, especialy with a stock swingarm!. They will make you wheelie like crazy and slow you down at WOT. I would not like your setup at all...Your problem is probably alot worse when running the haulers huh? you could put the Sand Stars on and get a +2 swingarm and that will help you keep the front end down. Your gearing is also affected by tire size, Trouble with switching to a 14 tooth is that you have too much paddle for a 14 tooth... Better setup is some 7-8 paddle extremes (Probably 7 if your mostly stock) 20-10-10, +2 or +4 swinger (its a bit long at +4 for duing vs drag racing) and keep the 13 onthe front so you can pull 4th gear up the steep side of olds (maybe you can pull it with a 14 on the front but probably won't be going as fast) When you change the length of the Swinger, you also have to have your shock re-valved for the length of the swingarm and your weight. I recomened a place like TCS to do this service. it makes all the difference in the world. The Advantage of running a -2 in the sand is that you will wheelie like a MoFo!
  2. china wall zoomed in china wall. (~1/2 of the way up) old's is ok too. Pattons I also have pics of Lizard and Brawley Slide. but I'm not sure which is which (I forgot). Not time to psot now. if I post can anyone ID them? OH crap I totaly just stretched the page! Hope you all have 22 inch Monitors
  3. if your worried about that much weight, make sure you take a shit before you ride to lighten yourself up. go PD, and change them when they wear, save a ton of cash!
  4. obviously you don't have to cut the plastic ribs on the stock mount, since you are replacing it with the Pro-flow mount. The instructions are probably for modifying the stock mount to fit. I told you this the other night in chat right? you will need to bolt the pro-flow adapter to the airbox and I would suggest ditching hte Lid since you ride ocatillo and glamis. the lid is only necessary if you ride in water. Make sure you bring some jets. I only have large sizes or I would hook you up. My smallest is a 320.
  5. huh, am I thinking of the same Jim?
  6. interesting stuff guys, infortunately I had to buy my 2's about 6 months before the 3's came out. I heard problems if the 3's wear and also some some evidence (I forgot what exactly) that the 2's performed better. Maybe that has been changed. Honestly I like the bolt together design better, I jsut feel more comfortable than with snaps! However if the 3's perform better I guess thats the way to go.
  7. I switched form Mothers to Mirrorbright, stuff works WAY better. ALOT less work!
  8. Well the best deal I could work out was getting the $10 discount. Otherwise I would not have them for this coming weekend. Not sure if I will order tires from rocky mountain again. And everyone seems to think their finish is better than ITP. Well NOT from my experience. The digs suck but I will have to live with them. At least there are some extreme Haulers on them.
  9. all that means is that you have too much Paddle for your Power/Gearng Ratio. Dropping to a 13 tooth would probably be a wise decision. I rode like that for years. if your chain wears out, replace it. but it should not have any adverse affects. Maybe try running a 13 tooth with Skate II's which is a less agressive setup. hell I'm running a 14 tooth on my ported Banshee!
  10. make sure you hodl the throttle wide open! thats your problem right there!
  11. Sounds like the Parking Brake was not disengaging. THis causes the TORS to kick in or lock up and it causes this problem. I suggest a Factory Yamaha Clutch Lever and a Parking brake Block off to remedy this problem. Let me know if you need the blockoff I have an extra one. Once I replaced mine I could not believe how much difference this made. THe entire stock assembly is a BIG POS, I held off for a long time and it was some of the best money I have ever spent replacing it. You shoudl not have vut the spring in your stock carbs, the TORS system is the result of a known issues with the stock carbs sticking open. The TORS will prevent the bike for sticking Wide Open. It is easier for this to happen with less spring pressure. THis really should only be done with aftermarket carbs. You shoudl have just gotten a thumb throttle extender.
  12. the 450 will have the advantage in that they are easier to race and less picky about granny shifting.
  13. your probably Puking right now! haha Hope your your havng fun.
  14. I would drive your trucks and park them out there. No sense in driving them since you have so many quads. I camp in a tent all the time, but if your planning to stay for a while you might wanna look into renting a motorhome to bring out there.
  15. Yea but then I miss using them for the biggest trip left this year. Glamis with the east coast people this weekend... So I'm screwed no matter what I do. Might just have to order another Rim to replace it and eat the $40
  16. oh yea, also disconnect the TORS and make sure your slides are in Sync. If you swap the plug wires and the same side still does not fire it is probably not a CDI issue.
  17. they offered to refund me $10 or else I can ship them back. Although the dings are horribly bad, I don't even have any marks like this in my 5 year old Blue Lables. Sand Tires jsut tend to not get beat to hell like my knobbies. I was hoping for more than $10.....
  18. Judging by the way they were shipped there is no way it was from the Shipper. They were not in a box though which was odd, however, non of the packaging wrap was broken and it was very tightly wrapped. Looks more like someone wacked them a couple times getting the tires ont he bead. Thanks for clarifying the offset I thoguht it might be normal since they were wider but wanted to make sure cause it kinda suprised me. And now I have to go kill a mouse in my room ! EEKK Little bastard ate one of my Humburger Buns! WTH!
  19. I plant o send mine to Boonman this summer, What is your turnaround time right now anyways?
  20. I jsut switched from Kate II's to Extreme Haulers and it appears that my rims are offset? My old Rims Were 3.5x5.5 inches. My new Rims are 3.5x6.5 inches. Are they Offset or is this typical? I did not order offset rims form RMATV. Also they are not very Shiny form what I have sceen, it looks as though someone rubbed them clean with a coarse rag, you can see the bufff marks all over them. There are also some scratches and digs on the rims. man they almost have more damage than my 5 year old Skate II's on blue lable! Ok I might as well post the pictures. Guess I should have posted this in the images section. Just kinda Disapointed for an almost $300 purchase. Any Suggestions?
