  1. No because it is stator dependent. The stock stator for example is much harder to float than a RS.
  2. If you epoxy the axle how do you remove the hubs? Lonestars are nice but better to save some cash and just get a g-force
  3. better re-jet your bike then, if your fowling plugs and running 32:1... 32:1 is fine, the manual even says 24:1. But if your not jetted properly you will run rich and fowl plugs. These are NOT 4-strokes although on a properly jetted bike the plugs can last for years they stillt ake more abuse than 4 stroke motors. Plugs are cheaper than the gas to drive to the shop, not to mention your time. Buy a box of plug so you can test your jetting next time.
  4. how the shit do you strip a grade 8 allenhead bolt? I have been through a few stators too over the last 8 years and he is still warrantying my origional stator, I now have a spare 200 watt though.... problem is no one else is making high output banshee stators.... I can see by the crappy china philips bolts why they were stripping but how the hell do you strip a grade 8 bolt when the part your threading into is softer? I mean grade 8 should be completely overkill for holding the stator... They also have locking washers, thats ridiculous they they could still back out with locktight and lockwashers, and stripping out a grade 8 bolt going into softer cast steel is just crazy.... Are you saying the timing plate itself was stripped or the bolt cause i don't think you can go much farther beyond grade 8? I have a feeling most bolts are made in china no matter who you get the parts from....If it's the plate itself that is stripping, then good luck going to a softer metal like aluminum. I suppose the next step then is to drill out the stator and timing plate and re-thread them with a tap and go to a longer wider bolt + add locknut to the back? Know any companies selling anything like that? Please let me know.
  5. Ricky stator now uses Grade 8 allenhead bolts to hold the stator to the plate, stripping issues were the china philips bolts not the plate afaik...Unless your talking about mounting the plate to the bike itself which uses the stock screws?
  6. http://helmetcameracentral.com/shop/viosport/pov1.html Widescreen but not as much protection? No1 makes an HD unit WTF!
  7. any good? http://www.helmetcamera.com/
  8. So I took this thign to the desert and the screen is just readable in the shade, spent a little time between rides checking my email and playing some SNES emulators on it. Nice battery life to boot. I would highly recommend it, unless you need something with a powerful graphics card for new games (Then get a PC and not a laptop IMO) Can't wait till my dad installs a 42" 1080p screen in the trailer then I can bring this with me for movies and emulators durring the sandstorms. It's very small and not much to haul around. Maybe I should try for EFI now
  9. Posted this a few months ago a few threads down and aparently no on HQ plays the game because they only play Xbox and PS3 Such a shame as consoles are pretty behind right now. PS3 won't fully implement all the graphics, it will be dulled down so it will run, and when it releases i have a feeling everyone will think big deal who has not played it on a high end PC...Just as high end Xbox 360 games previously out don't look as good as they do on PC cough, *bioshock* is not even close. Theres no way in hell it will run as well as on a PC with a video card that is 4-5x as fast despite having designanted os and optimizations etc let alone compared to a PC with 4 videos cards that are 4 times as fast each! Does PS3 implement DX 10 effects?... The game runs fine on mine with a $300 8800GTS overclocked to 800MHZ core speed 2000+ mhz memory. and an old dual core opteron, so 4k is not needed... I can't run in very high mode @1920x1080 as nothing out can really run it in very high yet with the exception of a quad core overclock with quad 8800GTX's (which software to run this is not optimized yet). However just set to high the graphics are far above and beyond any other games out. Even on medium the graphics are better than 90% of other games.... Yea right if you think a PS3 can handle the kind of load a quad core quad SLI GTX PC can (aka 4g-5g PC), you obviously have no idea what your talking about. The next gen of graphics cards should hit any day now, and maybe we will start to see some hardware that can handle it. Awesome game, I don't know anyone who does not like it until i read this post...Probably because their graphics card does not support all the effects. Theres a 400% difference when I changed from 7800GS to a 8800GTS, the 7800 didn't really implement the water effects, motion blur etc properly. Actualy it didn't really run it at all! But it does look awesome set to high running 1920x1080 on my 37" monitor Graphics + physics make this game A+, but it's not exaclty multi-player...
  10. depends which particular mikunis your looking at vs which particular keihin.
  11. ???????^^^^ Does sound like it could be jetting or the crossover tube (Since OP does not know if there is a tube connecting the 2 carbs) Are you even running the stock carbs? However if your running really high/low compression or timing that could be the problem as well.
  12. have you tried engauging and disengauging the parking brake 20-30 times? If the switch in the brake sticks even a little bit it will make the right side not fire (or maybe its the left...it's been a while since I removed mine). This is the only problem I have ever had witht he TORS system. Usualy it's the parking brake that needs to go, and you can unplug the rest after that. The elimination kit just makes the carb tops smaller. Check that the crossover tube is connected between the 2 carbs. Other than it's possible you might have changed some of the air-screws/idle screws or something? Check spark thats the easy stuff!
  13. Only the environmentalists and scientologists know the reason. It would be a ridiculous amount of work to pull this off IMO. You might have to take the bike to the CHP first for them to validate the vin on the old frame of your "old bike" (Plus whatever the hell they do besides scratch up your plastics: they don't let you watch). Then register it with the DMV. I could be wrong though, if the frame is from a bike that was registered in CA you might not need to do that step, just re-register as the older bike. I swapped from my 2000 to an 05 Red Frame and had to take it to the CHP for them to put my old vin on a new frame, but thats another story, but even that was a PITA and even though the old frame was repairable I had to give it to them so they could destroy it in order to keep the vin and retain my green sticker...
  14. Sounds good. Grinder or drill press to remove the rivots. Something to hold the basket (Flywheel/clutch tool) Red Locktight (Unless your using Wiseco, the screws come pre-locktighted) Something to peen the end of the screws with. Good time to pickup the cheap RMATV Clutch kit and toss in some new plates. Also a good time to install an EZ Drain valve for the coolant as well as the pandcake. (I put mine on, adjusted it, then you take it back out and tighten the bolt to lock it into place and re-install) I just used the screwdriver and tighten it the first time and had it fall off after a few trips so this is the proper procedure) Even if it had an allenhead I would probably still remove it to secure it better.
  15. if they are clamped right the K&Ns are pretty damn secure, can't yank them off...
  16. my RS timing plates are not all the same, my newest one looked like it had silver paint on it.
  17. 450's and pipes banshees? are you serious lol Now I want one for myself
  18. I was thinking that someone has to make a system with a small camera for the helmet (At least 16:9 if not HD) that I could wire up to a camcorder in my camelback. Put the camera in a nice pelican waterproof case too. This way the camcorder will be protected from the elements. I'd prefer to not have a big ass camera attached to my helmet, in case I have to fall/jump/crash off the bike.
  19. Can anyone recommend me something solid that will work in a dusty environment? I'd like to keep it under $1000. Do they even have any HD Hemlet cams yet or just regular helmit cams that hook to HD digital video recorders? Not really looking to wear something like this either! http://www.sirbikesalot.com/entry.php?fid=42
  20. I have jumped mine, crashed mine etc and it hasen't bent. My Buddy went through 2-3 bendy blues before switching to ge-force too. cheapter and better, can't beat that!
  21. Good times. Went down the Sand Drag is a School Buss, then later met up with JKJK for a ride over to the hill, and ended up riding back from there to the HQ Camp with Banchetta. Take care of that eye buddy! Wish I didn't have to go to work today, would have been nice to stay another day....
  22. You want the best? http://www.fasstco.com/ $$$$$$
  23. remove the A-arms and then remove the bushings by whatever means necessary. Hopefully the metal piece won't be galled up on your bolts.
