  1. for sand and dunes Fatty's or T5's SST's and T6's are better on a stock bike but not by much, and Fattys and T5's make more power once you get some porting and do some other mods. There is not Best affordable pipe, but I hear Bills are not very good (no offense) I'd say if you want mostly topend get T5's if you want more broader power and still gobs of top go with Fattys. From Dynos Fattys make a couple more power everywhere but top than T5's and T5's make about 1-2 more HP on top than Fattys. If you want lowend get a different quad
  2. id have to say a high, performance sticker then a boost bottle. Seriously, don't even ride it with the stock air filter! Easiest to jet when you do pipes ands filter at the same time. oh yea I have some pipes I want to sell also, they are plated Fatty's very good pipe for a stock or modded shee, I just have a little too much flow for them at this point. I need to switch to a pipe that is not as good on a stock banshee that can keep up with the flow. Shoot me an offer if ya want. If not they are going to end up o ebay, and judging by the condition of most of the pipes on there they should have no problem selling the guys above are right, suspension before motor mod (exception of pipes and filter and maybe a coolhead) Cause hell stock pipes are just plain horrible! I went the other route, and got porting first, but hey I needed a new topened anyways, I didn't get my rear suspension untill it blew out also But now I want some good front suspension so I don't killmyself jumping.
  3. v-force don't jsut have better material for the pedals, they also have 2x as many pedals, and a superior flow design also Just get the V_force and be done with it they are for sure the best unless your runing alcahol. I got V-force 2's I actualy think the design looks better I don't trust snappy things but I have not used the 3's so I dunno.
  4. what he said Personaly, I would rather own a helmit than get porting.
  5. I would send it to Passion Racing or Patriot racing. I live in SD and did not feel too great about any places. Duncan racing told me it was impossible to get 70HP out of a 350 even with a drag port. lol So I don't know about duncan racing.
  6. yea im thinking tape would make it harder to adjust than a stock one hehe well for some reason I think of 3M as double sided stuff
  7. You got mail. Mine used to get stuck thats when it started haivng problems, trick was to squirt wd40 up it and it unfroze it instantly, but then I got the rattle lol.
  8. unplugging that box does unplug both carbs.
  9. WHAT DO YOU THINK (CLICK HERE) I just ordered 2 sets, I got an extra set incase I lost a nut! Well ok, maybe not. I think I would rather have cheata cubs. I went with the $2 ones from RMATV instead! lol
  10. Fucked up! I was just out there a little over a week ago with a new truck. I would have died if someone stole it OR the banshee. Either or both would set me back my life savings. I think I would rather have let them shoot me.
  11. dude for 2g's you should have no problems. All i got is 12-port carbs and reeds and I have yet to be beat by a 450R or YFZ450 unless my plugs were fowled because I was still jetting it. Hell it's just a 350 but I have raced some tricked out 450's they are fast and had way more $$ into the bike But I still pull them on the hill at glamis. Cubs are jsut for racing other Banshees otherwise just porting should work! Kill another Duncan shee for me, I don't really like that shop. They are very Biased. They said running K&N was a HORRIBLE setup and they really didn't want to help me because I would not listen.
  12. Who do you call to get insurance? When I got an estimate from the only place I know of, it was over $1200 a year. Needless to say I didn't get it. Good thing to for that much I could have bought a second banshee by now.
  13. they are overpriced, I would buy things like jets oil and coolant and even goodgles when I needed them. but RMATV is the online place to go.
  14. oh man, how did he not feel the rope around his testicals!
  15. it does not look like a passion porting at all though. almost even looks like someone did it themselves, looks like the right boost port goes into the cylinder sideall much farther than the left. Also it looks like someone went a little nuts with the dremel on the sides of the intakes. Whats that all about? Is the exhaust port stock? it appears not to have anything done inthe picture but it is hard to tell.
  16. Have you taken the head off yet? it's really not too difficult to do, and if your pretty sure something is wrong with the engine it might be worth a look. If you want to diagnose more first you can try a leak down test to make sure you do not have an airleak. All you need is a torque wrench and a head gasket. If you odn't have the wrench nowis as good a time as any to buy one. I got mine from Harbor freight for $20 and it does the trick. if you do the leakdown test and you have a coolant leak it will more than likely pressurize the coolant in the radiator.
  17. can someone pm me Holymans email address I hear he does not respond to PM''s Thanks for the advice. Thats the kind of info I needed on the RMATV rebuild kit. Now I don't have to order all this other stuff that I don't need yet
  18. So when do i get to come over to break my arm too!
  19. BR8ES Plugs Try Changing them first. 280 soubds lean if your running a K&N wih no airbox lid, I ran 320 at sea level in hotter weather at glamis. Although this is with Fattys the jetting should be similar but maybe a 300 or 310 with Toomys I would imagine. However the missing and bogging sounds like you are running rich!?! Did your friend re-adjust the needles in the carbs? They should be raised 1 notch from stock probably (clip Lowered). The black stuff is just paint from the inside of the cylinders intake. Some are painted some are not. Don't worry about it though! Mine had this problem also it will not affect anything. My Guess is that you are lean or rich depending on exactly how it is acting. If it is reving out but does not have power then your lean, if it's having trouble reving out clear and misfires it might be rich.
  20. if you want to beat a modded YFZ in the sand you are going to need some porting! But then it should not be much of a problem.
  21. fixit that might work, but I think my screw is really messed up. Do you happen to know what size O-ring goes in there? I can stop by kragen on the way home, and hold off on ordering the rebuild kit for now. if it fails though, I'm not sure RMATV could get it to me by friday if I don't order from them within the hour.
  22. You mean modify it myself? It might be hard to do that since I do not have a drill
  23. I have Jim's 12-port and I have been jetting it all year. I started at 172's and now I'm down to 155's I might even go down one more size,a s I have not checked the plugs yet. but so far I'm not fowling plugs with 155's (I was with 158's)and its running better than ever! It really does haul some ass. yea 7 mil strokers can still beat me but I haven't raced any 350's (that I know are 350's) that can beat me now. I'm going to race a quadzilla with Long Travel this weekend at gordons so we will see how I do. I was disapointed with these cylinders for a long time but now I am impressed since I am getting it closer to dialed in. I was still blowing past 450's even with it fowling plugs (well untill the plugs were fowled lol)
