  1. For those of you with quicksand A-arms how do you like them and how hard were they to install? What tools do I need to adjust them correctly? I'm having a hard time choosing between the quicksand and pro-comps because I can get the pro-comps from alba cheaper and they appear to be much easier to install since theres no castor adjustments...I guess that can be a good thing since it only leaves Camber to be adjusted and it can be done with the A-arms installed. But I like the look of the Quicksands much better I'm jsut afraid I might not be able to get them adjusted properly. this is the procomps http://alba.buyol.com/Item/ALBBAN21.htm
  2. Had to Buy Circuit board create a current regulation circuit and also to DC power (1/2 rectified) Thermal epoxy Heatsinks, seal up optics, make brackets to mount everything, seal up the circuit box as best as I could. Course I'm also using the same circuit for underlighting my ATV with 2 LED's which required more LED"s and more brackets and Heatsinks.
  3. RAD Lights are a big joke You guys should see mine...soryy no pics server is down. made it myself out of 2 LED's that are so bright they hurt your eyes. Difficulty = Very Difficult Cost = Expensive.
  4. I'm wanting to rig a few of those 3 watt LED's to my whip but I have no way to make a bracket. Should light up the whole area around me and can be runn off some rechargable batteries.
  5. SST are not good with porting...well better than stock...but not as good as Fattys. I would not expect to beat any modded 450's with that setup. What gearing are you running? If your Sand Dragging you might try switching to a 13 tooth, practicing starting in 2nd...that should get you into 5h faster
  6. Nah I don't thinkt he tube does anything except help you idle if your carbs are not in sync, I say ditch it...
  7. Get angled pods, problem solved, I was actualy hinking about getting a set to AVOID the rubbing my friend has them and they have less clearance problems tan my Fattys as far as running pods, my fattys just clear my angled pods.
  8. ran 320 mains K&N No Lid, Raised Needle one clips stock pilots. Would recomend one size larger pilots and 300-310 main. Move needle up, (down one clip)

  10. I think they are all like that, I have to shave off some on mine too if I go with a larger sprocket, and drill out the holes.
  11. Make sure you get a new filter K&N or aftermarket foam...Foam filters better but K&N gives more HP so it depends on your riding environment. Your stock carbs should be fine but you might want to get the TORS removal kit to make them easier to jet. If you get new carbs I would go with 28's the stockers are 26, to me it is a waste cause you will have to buy larger carbs again when you get engine work. You can buy a single K&N and Outerwear and remove the airbox lid. Youc an modify the stock foam filter holer flange or buy the overpriced billet adapter. I used the modified platic flang for years without any problems, if you want to know what I did PM me as I don't feel like explaining for no reason. Depending on temp and elevation and AFTER you ditch the stock filter I would start with a 310 main your probably somewhere around 280 - 310 raise the stock needle jet by moving the clip down towards the tapered end 1 position, I ran a 320 at glamis for years but was a bit fat (not enough to fowl plugs or anything though) I would buy the filter NOW so you don't have to re-jet twice, it is somehting you NEED to learn how to do if you own a banshee, but it is a pain in the ass especialy with stock carbs. This might be off because environment is compleatly different from glamis. When Jetting the stock carbs make sure you put the part that holds the needle back in correctly and reconnect the choke tube that connects the 2 carbs. The Needle Jet holder has a hole in one side of it so make sure you put it back in the same way you take it out.
  12. Well when you get 38's buy air strikers they are better anyways.
  13. Nightrider that looks rich to me, although I can't see the electrode on the end which is how you can really see whats up quickly. when you go WOT and kill it, it leaves a mark on the electrode not on the porclin. You can also see the burn pattern on the base of the plug that you have chopped off.
  14. I suggest you ride the dunes in the daytime if it is your first trip, else invest in some Decent headlights. Otherwise you are crazy going there for the first time with stock headlights I would NOT go even now with stock headlights, it's not really worth it.
  15. I hope your not running a foam filter with teh airbox lid on...........
  16. I believe I waited over 2 months for the swinger in chrome, some of it was the chrome shops fault. If you did not know Gary does this as a hobby, he is not a mainsteam buisness like Lonestar. He does this on the side because people enjoy his products and get them for a good price. I did not realize this when I ordered either. Over all I'm pretty happy witht he swingarm, although there is room for improvement it works perfect and looks great and for the price it would be hard to beat. You will get your a-arms im sure of it, call him often and you will get through evntualy. I'm not saying it does not suck you don't have your A-arms, I'm saying that you will get them eventualy though. The wels looked real good to me but im no pro. Hey Gary, wheres my Swing arm bushings?
  17. I would not do it man! First Sharks are already super heavy, + you don't really have enough hp and torque to pull them. Since your ported I would go for 8 paddle extreme haulers. If your fully drag ported you could probably run 9's depending on conditions but I would stick with 8's...Unless all you do is drag... if you dune your going to HATE them. With 10's you might get a better launch but you will lose some top speed due to having too much weight and paddle. if your stroked 4 mil drag ported than maybe 10 paddle non-extremes.. Oh yea forgot to mention it depends on yoru tire size also... get yourself a pair of these 20x10x10 This is a pic of the 8 paddle extremes vs SDD's Larger Skat Track's they are 8 paddle non-extreme, I think his are 22x11x10 or something I don't really remember...Anyways go with the extremes as the paddles are re-enforced they are only available in 20x10x10 sizes anyways. I do not think they make s 22x12x8 but they sound a bit too large. if you go with the larger size you can get 10 paddle non-extremes but they are still better oriented for drag unless you like sliding around in the dunes with huge rear tires.... Sand Tires last a long time so whatever you get you will have them a while...I'm sorta wishing I had goen with 9's now, but only because I plan on getting Cheata Cubs in the near future!
  18. did you grease the O-rings when you put them on? Little dab will do ya. it's possible they fit some pipes better than other, or that the O-rings were install backwards There is a little one and a big one. They seal reall well IMO, I only had an issue when I forgot to use grease and cracked one of the O-rings forcing the pipe on. but ever since them I can jsut pull the silencers on and off and there is no leakage, only had them for like 5 years now though so no telling how durable the O-rings will be. It's possible that they fit some pipes better than others also, do to Pipe manufacturers tolerances and accuracy.
  19. I have them and they don't leak at all. It is VERY easy to remove my pipes from the silencers I jsut twist thema little and pull them right off...THe trick is to use some grease ont he O-rings when you install them. Definately use grease! Only downside is you have to buy another set if you change pipes do to them being a fixed size. but yea I like mine.
  20. I jsut got the re-inforced clear kind at home depot I can't remember the diameter I think it was 1 inch OD or ID I'm not sure...Been holding up fine for osme time now. Ill probably change it this summer since it gets kinda cloudy after a year or so of riding but for $20 I have enough to do the Banshee twice.
  21. I always keep a maglite and a knife in my truck, break my window and I'll break your face. When throwing a big Part always have a few freinds and some baseball bats around in case things get out of hand. I remember in HS these guys came to my friends party, same shit they were chillin for a few then they tried to jack his brothers playstation games. He tried to stop them but he was alot smaller and got knocked out. Then they were claming all this gang shit as they were trying to run off and one of my friends ran up beat the fuck outa one of them like nothing and got the games back. The rest of them took off! They were not expecting that shit!
  22. 8 paddle extreme haulers work great in the dunes. I run a set. 10 is a bit much paddle for a 350 and would only benefit off the line in a drag. But yea it would kinda suck for the dunes, especialy if you got the Bigger ones.
  23. gearing depends on your rim and tire size. Jim will probably recomend Shearers, If you have Fattys you might like them but you won't get as much topend. I'd say they might be a bit better for trails though. THats what I run with my non stroker 12-port and I DO NOT HAVE A DEAD SPOT. Keep the Fattys and see what you think, if you want to go faster but loose mid and bottom then get some shearers
