  1. I had it done by TCS, I hear it is the best bang for buck but I need to have my rebuilt already. From what everyone tells me this is normal though and I would have to do that with aftermarket as well. I don't know about that I'm not sure. For the money haveing the stock rebuilt is more bang for your buck. but aftermarket should be somewhat better I would imagine.
  2. My New Custom Creations Arms seem to fit, I can't wait to test tehm out but I might have to wait till october, I have sceen other A-arms that look like they would have hit even worse. I dunno about TCS being the only company who cares, I got just as good of customer service from elka whowere working with me to change to shorter resevoirs because of my problem. But it was better and cheaper to just change -arms. I'm not to happy with TCS at the moment but perhaps if I bug them enough they will fix my rear shock. And I Disagree with the 450 doing everything better than the banshee other than going in a straight line...Maybe on a track but the dunes are another story. A dual rate or self sagging spring on the stock size banshee rear shock would likely just make the rider lose even more travel but would likely be beneficial for an MX track, however a 450 would be better suited for that kind of racing.
  3. what size carbs do you have? And are you running a drag port or cub?
  4. Alot of places have them, try a local ATV shop. I believe both motoworld and Alba have them, thats where I got mine. Again it's not gauranteed to strip before your case, but since its aluminum it might, I know the head on mine strated to strip from losening the plug once when I did not have the socke on all the way. Since there is no filter for your tranny oil, magnetic drain plug pics up alot of shavings and will free up a passageway that allows oil to flow into the clutch area.
  5. No i didn't say that lol. I had a combination of problems. Some were not uncovered untill I had porting. Hell it could have been my stator that lead to my rebuild in the first place. I tend to weed out alot of the bad parts that are for available for the banshee so you don't have to. Almsot everything I buy for my banshee I have some sort of issue or problem with
  6. If It was me, I would split the cases then tap the hole, otherwise your going to get some shavings up in there... Maybe they will cause problems maybe they wont, there is no way to tell because you can't see them falling into the motor. I always put the drain plug in by hand then slowly snug it up. man that sucks! Get an aluminum/magnetic drain plug next time, it will likely strip out the plug before the cases.
  7. yea you can polish the exhaust port, my intake divide is knifed, but It looks like it takes some skill to do a good even job there. I believe most of your gains will come from porting your transfers, and enlarging the exhaust per porting specs.
  8. Good thing you have remote resevoirs. If you had Piggy back they would smack on the back part of the A-arm, I had this problem and I had more clearance then you. Luckily Custom creations built me a new set and improved their design. now I have plenty of clearance. Just mount up the lower arm and shock before you secure the upper arm Heim. See if the Arm wil smack the shocks. your problem looks similar but in a different location. as long as it does not rub you should be ok. If it rubs do as suggest above and extend the heims out a bit.
  9. I think I saw a clear tank and it looked liek shit after it got stained. but you could see how mcuh fuel was inside. I beleive it had a yellowish color to it. Could be wrong though maybe what i saw was something else.
  10. what about a 10-plate clutch for duning, thats what i was looking to get for a 4 mil cub?
  11. Sounds liek your Jetting is rich, plus your lugging it. DO your plugs loosk he same if you run it at WOT?
  12. Punch him a few times for me as well. Man 30 is right around the corner... Happy late B-day
  13. Glad to hear you got that SOB off. Torque Spec is 59ft-lbs when you put it back on. Matt, I have those same china impacts, they do fit on the flywheel I guess.. However they are POS's I tried to take off a nut for the rim on my truck and split 2 of them in 1/2, i took them back to china freight the same day and they replaced them but they told me it was because I did not use it with an impact. I told them I tried the impact but it was a POS and could not losen the nut on the truck... Not sure why they told me you have to use them with an impact! I didn't even srip that part out the sidewall just cracked in 2 Second set has not broken on my yet though. I was suprised when I just tore the socket in 2 pieces and almost hit my head on the concreat.
  14. I don't liek the pods, because they hit my pipes, If I could stick with a single filter I would. Just pull the lid off the airbox and you should have the same gains IMO. 2 filters have more filtering area than 1 though so they might last a bit longer but I usualy clean mine every trip anyways. If I had the option to go with one big filter I would....
  15. I bent my piece of rod that came with mine... damn thing would not move! Well it did shortly after the rod bent... Are you sure the aluminum and steel are both the same? They have different product descriptions.
  16. I have Barnett Springs I tried alternating them but ended up with all HD springs. With good oil Bel-Ray I don't really have any poblems. I have not dynoed my banshee but it should be over 60Hp. I have the stock clutch though not Barnett. When I used Golden Spectro Tranny Oil There was some slippage even with all HD springs. Those of you toasting the clutch what oil were you using?
  17. I like their old music WAY better there new shit pretty much blows, the one or 2 ok songs have distortion (static) recorded right into their CD. Every tiem I listen to Hypnotise/Mezmerize I think I just blew a speaker...It's THAT bad, and even more evident on the second 1/2 of the songs on the second CD, especialy if you listen with headphones. Just not excusable they must have spent a whole 10 cents on each CD. I don't mean added distortion I mean there is Distortion even when the music is not playing. Just wrong...
  18. Thanks Ben, My auto insurance just went up because my parents changed their policy so now I have to pay $400 MORE a year, but it would have been like 800 more a year if I didn't turn 25. Still under 2000 a year for auto insurance thanks to my clean record or some shit... Seems like an aweful lot and now I have to fork up $700 or possibly 900 a couple months early as well. I just paid 700 in December! I guess I should just make my deductable 1000 so I can keep it cheap and hoep nothing happens.
  19. I'm late too! Thanks everyone I was back in my hometown for the B-day eating halibut and drinking Champaign. Wow one year older... Isn't as fun as it used to be, but yea B-day on the weekends rock!
  20. It shoudl not really affect your gearing. But I run a 14-40 I would think you should be close to that.
  21. I think it is a good choice, the extremes will last longer and will will work well if you add some mods. These will probably perform identical to what you had before 9 paddle hauler will work about the same as a 8 paddle extreme.
