  1. I ask because many of your questions are rookie type questions. You're in the middle of a build that many dream about and few can actually make happen. To be blunt, you're building far more bike then I'd guess you have skills / experience to handle. Not trying to insult you, but you need to get some seat time on a lesser bike to determine what feels and works best for you, to help you build and tailor this bike to best suit you, your preferences and riding style.
  2. Jesse, are you at work now while typing these novels?
  3. I agree completely with F1HDR on the reasons for the continued excessive price increases. I have imagine that at some point in the near future there will have to be a market correction in the price of new trucks and cars much like the market correction in housing in 2009. Eventually the bubble has to pop...
  4. $8,500 when the economy was going WOT... My understanding is that another member recently paid $7,250 for his built this year. That's for a complete rolling chassis: Frame, subframe, steering stem, swingarm, bearing carrier, Pro-Trax front end (a-arms, spindles, tie rods, and wave rotors)
  5. What are the details on the internals of your tranny? What torque converter? Are you happy with his product? I need to do an HPOP and injectors on our 7.3 family truck...
  6. Sounds like you might need to bleed your brake lines further.
  7. Did you add an intercooler to it? You have a John Woods tranny, right?
  8. Have you tried shortening the springs or buying the softer springs that are available? I took about 30% out of mine and have been very happy with that. No issues either.
  9. Gotcha. Improper tuning, even on a lower power out put can fubar things too.
  10. Bad tuning will fry any tranny. Stock or modified.
  11. There's no question about the quality and durability of an Allison. I'm pretty certain that most reputable diesel performance shops will tell you the same thing, a stock Ford tranny will hold up to higher torque and power numbers behind performance motor then the Allison will.
  12. Gotcha. Just trying to encourage the guy to save face and make things right. No body likes getting bent over or left feeling like they did.
  13. This isn't looking good Controls... Too many similar complaints. I sure hope you step up, straighten things out and make it right.
