The rant he put up on FB a few weeks ago on this subject was classic Thacker... Dude doesn't know when to quit... Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2

Why are you guys getting side tracked with shifting ideas? His left foot is fine. The problem is weather to use his left hand lever as is for clutching or to convert that into a front brake for the best control of the bikes braking. An air shifter would just be one more task for his left hand to deal with while trying to hang on. Starwriter is on the right track in my opinion with his potential clutching solution. Careful throttle control with a stock transmission should eliminate the need to mod it. I no clutch mine about 50% of the time while riding aggressive MX type terrain. I have been very happy with my Duncan 403 motor and PT High Revs, but all of the Serval chatter has gained my interest and a Redline built Serval would likely be my next choice for my riding style. Just wondering if my PT High Rev pipes would work well...? Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2

Any thoughts on trying out a set of PT High Revs as well? Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2

SoCal Suspension Systems (Matt is SICK)
LaegerEliminator replied to #1JUANstunna's topic in Sponsor Spotlight
That was too low of a blow Steven... Regardless of Matt's antics and conduct at times... Keep in mind that on top of being a man with a young family he was also brave enough and had the courage to expose himself to share with us the battle his body was going through. The two operations he experienced and shared with us are major modifications to the body. Very few have any desire to openly discuss what they have had to endure due to the stigma that typically goes along with the alterations he has had to deal with. I will join with Wheat and the others who offer up prayers and encouragement for Matt and his family. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2 -
What gearing does your truck have Josh? Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2

I have been very happy with Ford Super Duty's for my landscape and excavation business for the last 15 years. I was a GM guy before. If you can find a '99 to '03 with a 7.3 that is in good shape it will make an excellent work truck. I have four of them with a combined 650,000 miles between them. The worst break down has been one auto transmission at 110k miles and a transfer case at about 125k ( due to retarded employee abuse) Other than that, each of them has needed a glow plug relay. Two of them have needed the turbo up pipes replaced which tend to wear out from lots of heat due to towing heavy. Each of these trucks has been driven and worked hard by various employees and myself. We also have an '06 6.0 and an '08 6.4. The 6.0 has required the usual repairs, egr delete, oil cooler replacement and the ficm repaired. The primary cause of almost all 6.0 issues can be attributed to the emissions systems. Once you delete these and retune the the truck you will have a great overall truck. The 6.4 has been the least reliable again due to emissions systems. Once these motors have the emissions equipment deleted from them these become excellent trucks too.

Why do you think these are junk? Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2

Windy that might be your shortest reply EVER!!! That's pretty cool, those features certainly have to greatly reduce all of the little mishaps with using my original. Nothing worse than thinking you just filmed an awsome ride only to find you didn't... or your angle sucked..... Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2

Thanks for all of the feed back! So with the remote can you see and confirm visually on the remote if you are recording? With the WiFi and the phone app you can see on your phone what the camera is seeing? Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2

Is that under your garage/shop Tyler?

Any one have a new Go Pro Hero 3, specifically the "Black" ? I have the original and am thinking about upgrading. I really like the idea of having the remote to operate it. Thoughts? Experience / Reviews? Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2

I think it depends on the type of sand that you are riding and where and rider prference. I run both Mowhawks and Dual Rib Sand Stars. I found for the sand at St. Anthony that my Sand Stars were too responsive and too quick steering. Like I was cornering on rails they are so responsive. I prefer my Mowhawks for their lightweight as well as smoother and more predictable steering response in that type of sand. The sand at St. Anthony seems to be courser and heavier. When I ride in Oregon at Winchester and Florence I found that I prefer the Sand Stars. The sand there seems to be finer and almost softer or fluffier when it is dry. I found that my Mowhawks allow the front end to push too much and the steering repsone is slow.

IMO and experience the Ford Super Duty chassis is the superior work truck platform with the best balance of work truck durability and good handling and great comfort. I have owned a Ford Super Duty since early 99'. I currently own 6 of them to run my landscape and excavation business. 2- 99 F350's, a 00' F350, an 03' F350 DRW, an 06' F250 and my person work truck an 08' F550. The old 7.3 motors are nearly bullet proof. Two of mine are pushing close to 200k miles on them. Obviously the 6.0 has its issues, but once those issues are dealt with you will have a great truck as well as engine. We just sent out the ficm for repair and tuning today. The 6.4 isn't perfect either, my 08' 550 has had it's issues, but with it now deleted and tuned it is a night and day different and better truck. My trucks are routinely loaded down very heavy and they have all held up very well. My older trucks have been routinely loaded on average with a gross of about 25,000lbs all day long. I regularly gross about 40,000lbs with my 550 and often run as high as 46,000lbs with zero issues. Nobody that knows diesels can argue what the cummins engine brings to the table, especially if they are dropped into a Super Duty. The dodge part IMO and experience will not hold up long term in any way at all, especially the front ends and the bodies. Chevy/GMC are fine if you want car like ride and handling, but they don't hold a candle to a Ford for a work platform.

perfect way to use a 6.0. Work it hard, do a delete kit and tune it and you've got a good truck.

If you really want to go with the PRM I bet you could order one uncoated, remove the upper loop yourself, then send it out to get coated black. I'm nearly certain a guy could carefully cut that tube off, and with some careful work with a grinder, then some very fine sand paper and emory cloth, end up with a factory finish where the welds used to be. I've done this myself successfully on my nerfs where I had rear fender tabs that I didn't want. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2

Info on NEWER generation AC Pro Peg.

My nerfs fit a YFZ. This was the best setup I could find to fit my Laegers chassis with propeg mounts. That was in 2008. I'm sure they would work on a stock frame as long as you could get the right propeg mounts to get the ride position you want. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2 -

I run a chrome Duncan for sand riding. When I'm home riding mx I run an AC with a custom built belly pan that is bent to flow with the AC bumper and protect the belly of my frame as well. http://s1235.photobucket.com/user/Laegereliminator/media/StAnthonyAug08097.jpg.html http://s1235.photobucket.com/user/Laegereliminator/media/2005Banshee036.jpg.html

Dude!!!! You've seriously got some screws loose and wires crossed if you're proud of this contraption that you have built..... There's nothing right about any of it........ Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2

That makes complete sense to me. As you know I'm still pretty new to the sled scene, but I think that I have been experiencing what you are describing with a super charger creating a gyro effect. I have found with my sled that the more it is reving and the more track speed I build, the happier it is and the easier it is to ride. It's as if it just wants to stand up, level out and off you go hauling butt. In the slow and technical it's a handful and obviously the extra weight has a lot to do with that. I don't seem to experience this near as much with the mild 2 stroke sleds. So my question is do you think this gyro effect is largely responsible for this? Or is it more the nature of the sled that I am on........and my lack of experience. I know when I rev up my concrete demo saw with a 14" blade it will try to right itself and create some twist.
