  1. That explains why the numbers seemed pretty low to me for pre turbo / manifold readings. 1,200 post turbo is definitely on the high side. We avoid going over 1,000 on ours post turbo reading.
  2. I will have to look at mine closer since I have unlimited viewing access currently...
  3. I have a Banks Power Elbow and Banks 4" exhaust. The elbow has a built in bung for the probe. Then the Banks exhaust is shorter then a typical aftermarket exhaust and marries up to the power elbow perfectly.
  4. On our 7.3 it's after the turbo. On the 6.0 it's in the drivers side manifold. Might have to think about a post turbo setup. I think on the 6.4 there is a factory unit in one of the manifolds.
  5. Custom tunes makes a very big difference when trying to match to specific driving or towing conditions. My brother in law is a 7.3 diehard and has been doing ours. He recently picked up the gizmos to do live tuning on the 7.3's and he can dial it in pretty quick now. Learning the knowledge on how to tune to various mods is an art in itself. I'm assuming those EGTS are just after the turbo? They will hold up to 35 lbs very confidently without studs. Brother in law has his turning 45 lbs with studs.
  6. That's what our 2000 runs. 30-32 lbs Ours is on stock injectors and HPOP. We have a 38R turbo, 4" exhaust, Banks intercooler, intake and custom dunes on a DP 6 position switch.
  7. Have you dynoed it? How does it do egt wise towing with those injectors?
  8. Very cool. Nicely done. How do you like the John Wood tranny? I am considering having him build a 5r110 in my 550. Who's HPOP? What turbo?
  9. What are the details of the goodies done to it? Auto or 5 spd?
  10. So does this mean improvements to the KOA and maybe a better spot to camp?
  11. Slightly bigger wheels on the black truck would have looked a little better, and even better on the white truck. My Dad has offered to let us take his Camaro out, but I'm gonna let one be his sacred baby for awhile longer.
  12. Should have kept wheels and tires off of black truck, installed them on the white one and then kept the white one...
  13. If you do get a new one, don't get rid of those two. Those are golden trucks.
  14. Our older family truck is a 7.3 6 spd as well as the plow truck. Absolutely love that combo. Especially love that tranny for snow plowing. Works perfectly and fast. Low - reverse is as simple as up and down and can be done left handed while keeping your right hand on the plow joystick.
  15. I'm gonna say they are good in the Ford world chassis wise through the current production models. Engine wise things went from bad to worse in the 6.0 to 6.4 arena in regards to emissions equipment related engine issues / failures. The Dana 60 coil spring front has held up perfectly on our 06 F250 with 8" lift and 37" tires for 90k miles. Same thing with my 08 F550 with Fat Boy Dana 60 front end at 65K miles. Zero front end or chassis issues.
  16. That sounds about right. My cc F550 is 12,500 without fuel. 13,500 when the slip tank is full. My single cab F350 dually is 10,500 without fuel.
  17. I hear ya and I can see that environment being tough on any truck. Of my 6 different Ford Super Duties, fromm 99's to 08's, only one has needed any front end work before 90k miles including our lifted truck as well as the primary snow plow truck which takes a beating. Too many street driven Dodges that I know of personally have needed front end work as early as 40k miles, not even driven off road or worked hard on the street, stock sized tires too.
  18. Like I just said... Brian. Tyler, have you weighed your new work truck with all your tools on board?
