  1. I'm pretty certain that both of those drawings were created by Jim Thacker. Those are concept ideas that he has dreamt up. He was seeking a shop that was willing to turn them into reality. Pretty certain that is as far as they have ever gone. Wishful dreams... Sir Thacker is considered a quack by most members here.
  2. Looks like your pegs are in the oem position. I would imagine with relocated pegs and certain types of nerfs with heel guards things will be a lot tighter.
  3. 18" is the preferred rear tire size for MX on a dry track. If it's muddy guys will sometimes switch to 20" How much atv experience do you have?
  4. Stock length swinger, heel guard nerfs and 20" tires you should be fine.
  5. If you run heel guard nerfs you will probably have to run 18" rears for clearance issues. 20" tires will be a tight squeeze if you run old school nerfs with no heal guards. If you run 18" rears you should be able to run a 15 t front sprocket easily. 13 t will be too low. I run 16/40 gearing with 18" rears.
  6. It's far more then just a softer setting. You will need quality shocks that are properly setup and dialed in for you personally and for the suspension components that you purchase. This is can be a whole quest alone to get right. You don't want to cut any corners in this department. Do you research carefully.
  7. You're definitely going to want the best possible suspension setup you can afford to attempt to match your motor output.
  8. You're right, you didn't. However you boldly stated that no one on the HQ has ever ran MX. For someone who gets his panties in a bunch when he is certain that someone is lying, it sure seems like a double standard when you make statements like yours when you and others know that isn't the truth.
  9. Yes. You are correct. The next step, if you're serious about an MX build is a shorter swinger, minus 1"-2", to further correct the oem weight distribution flaws.
  10. I run yfz calipers and mc on my Laeger. For me it was a night and day difference and improvement over Banshee components. Very noticeable improvement in brake feel and response. Requires far less effort too. That being said, my rotors are larger diameter then oem yfz, they are a wave design my by Laeger's. The design of the Pro Trax spindle allows for the caliper to be placed further away from the center line and allowing for the larger rotor. So my results may be better then typical.
  11. You could pm rjayb. He has had Arlo do a bunch of frame mods for him and he has been happy.
  12. Deal !! I'll pm you the info. I expect to see payment in full by the AM
