  1. Please describe to me your reasoning and your entire personal experiences with Ford trucks.
  2. Dave took it out back and shot it. Bulletproofed... Most expensive bullet possible
  3. My best friend and sledding buddy has an 07 Dodge diesel. Deleted and tuned. Thing runs awesome. He is OCD when it comes to his rigs. Virtually every time he rides in one of my Fords, personal or work truck, he is always telling me about how much nicer the Ford interior is, how much better the final fit and finish is and how much better the Fords drive down the road. He has made it clear that his next truck will be a 6.7 Power Stroke Ford.
  4. If you look at sales history statistics as a whole, Ford has dominated truck sales for almost 40 years now. GM has been a close second when combing Chevy and Sierra sales together. Dodge/Ram has consistently been a distant third. Those statistics would deny the speculation that recent Ford truck sales statistics are being propped up by fleet and government purchases. Unless for almost 40 years government and fleet operators have also found the Ford truck product to be the better choice as well as private consumers.
  5. Saw this article in Diesel Power Magazine. Some pretty interesting statistics here. Ford F250 and F350 sales account for 43% of market share. Ford F350, F450, F550 Cab and chassis truck sales account for 65% of market share. Leaving 35% to be split between GM and Dodge/Ram.
  6. That's what I was thinking and remembering. Been to long for me to be sure.
  7. You're dealing with the Canadian health care system right? I had a near fatal experience in 2011 that landed me in the hospital for a little bit. It was stunning to me that none of the doctors consistently gave out the same care recommendations or orders. Each individual was consistent in their methods, but it varied from one to doc to another. After that experience I figured I should change the name of my business to "Practicing Landscaping and Excavation" and that I should start charging double fair market pricing. JasonB is right thought, seek other opinions ASAP.
  8. I can start mine one kick sitting down. He should have no issues if things are tuned in right.
  9. I'm with Tricked. If it's paid for, keep it. My Dad has been paralyzed for 49 yrs now. I grew up watching him do pretty much anything he put his mind to. Riding atv's, water skiing, snowskiing, (in their own forms) The only limitations will be the ones you allow into your head. It won't be easy. For me personally I would need something to look forward to during the rehab process. An outlet that makes you feel good and rejuvenates the internal thrills that come with this sport. Just a little something for yourself that helps you keep your sanity so you can be the best Dad and Husband possible the rest of the day. Thoughts and prayers for you.
  10. Having rubber between the hanger and the frame will always be the better choice over metal to metal
  11. Some additional info: I decided to use longer bolts to attach my TM hangers to the frame as well as the pipes. I then added a nut on the back side of the frame and pipe hanger. I threaded the bolts to where they just allow the hangers to pivot freely at the frame and pipe mount. I did this so that the hanger could pivot at all three points yet keep the pipes oriented correctly. 1) Frame mount 2) center pivot 3) At the pipe This seemed to greatly improve the entire situation.
  12. Honestly it's been so long since I've dealt with oem stuff that I can't remember anything about rubber bushings other then the oem hangers. Two pictures. You will have to zoom in. My chassis is not oem, so the adjustable design of the TM worked really well for me to make my pipes fit my frame just right. The design of them also seems to absorb shock and vibration very well and in my experience reduced piper hanger damage / cracking.
  13. I have them and am very happy with them. My opinion and experience they work.
  14. In early 2000's we already had our first srw F350 and we were looking into buying a drw F350 truck. We decided to look at Dodges at that time too. Two different 3500 diesel Dodges, 4wd, extended cabs, brand new, that we drove, drove like empty dump trucks going down the road. Rough riding as can be and all over the road. The power was ok, nothing to brag about. We test drove two different for F350 drw trucks at the same time. One an extended cab the other a crew. Both Fords drove considerably better down the rode. Smoother riding and drove much straighter and more accurately then the Dodges.
  15. F1HDR posted a pic with 6 good looking girls in the back seat of his Ford. Until you post a pic with 6 or more girls that are better looking then what F1HDR posted in your personal Dodge work truck, I call BS. Prove me wrong.
  16. Get the Vin and find out the warranty and repair history on it. Looks like a cattle rancher should be driving it, but that could turn out to be a pretty decent truck depending on how long ago the exhaust and tuner were installed and it's repairs history. I'm assuming based upon seeing the single chrome exhaust tip, that the oem dpf exhaust system has been removed. I would verify if it has or not and if the tuner has been run with the egr valves turned off.
  17. Green, that used 450 looks pretty good. Looks like it has an exhaust as well as a tuner on the left side of the dash. Those are a good sign. That truck will drag a heavy boat around very nicely. Did you ever do anything further on your 6.0 truck motor?
  18. So do you say this because you started getting more Tang at home after you bought your new work truck?
