  1. What elevation do you ride at? 162's? seem rich to me, I started out with 152's last summer, it ran better as I dropped the main, but I am curious if the new CPIs will change it. I should know on April 1st.
  2. I ride at 5000 feet, so my jetting advice won't really help. I run 140's though.
  3. I might be able to help you with jetting, but first, are you running pods, and what elevation do you ride at? I would call a builder, ask them what domes they would recommend for your setup and ele, and buy the domes from them. Are you going spacer plate, or having your juggs ported for the 4mil?
  4. Are we talking about a Cub, or stock cylinders? I have no experience with a cub, but I have a 4 mil that never shows any sign of over heat, even climbing the steepest tallest dunes over and over.
  5. I will go up from a 140 to 145, thanks Loco. The t5's will up for sale soon.
  6. Congratulations Kid, soon you will be holding up convenient stores at 2 am in the morning with "BORN TO LOSE" tattooed on your chest. Well done!
  7. Hey guys, I just got some in-frame CPI's off of ebay. Do you think I will need to change the jetting at all on the mods below? Thanks.
  8. I just got off the phone with paypal not 10 minutes before I saw this thread, they said I am "guaranteed" my money back if I don't get the item I am waiting for.
  9. Ok, so if you have two engines making the same peak HP, but one does it at 9000 rpm, and the other does it at 8000, the 9k engine will be faster? I thought the engine making peak HP the soonest would have the advantage. What you are saying makes sense, the wheels would turn faster. Thanks. Do you think the cpi's will help my setup?
  10. You're right, but what exactly does that translate into when you are riding? the HP gain was only about two. That makes sense.
  11. Hey guys, am I reading this right. The Toomeys and FMFs are making quite a bit more HP and TQ over the CPIs and Shearers all the way up until just past 8500 RPM. I just bought some CPI's off of ebay, and now I am wondering if I wont like the change in performance. I ride only sand, with some drag/hillshooting mixed in against my buddy's.
  12. Hey Guys, I need some metal heel guards in good shape. Thanks.
  13. That is a great video, I was curious as to how close that race was, now I know. Your cub is fast, I have seen that YFZ run, and it is one of the faster YFZ's out there.
  14. Choke... is no Joke!

  15. Count on it Dave! If you want to take the 12 mil's to choke, I will bring my grizzly and pack the fuel for you.
  16. I enjoyed that, especially the Twister at the end. I'm sure your twister will dominate the hansen Bros too! Can't wait to see it. Great videos, thanks for posting.
  17. I think I met you last Sept, do you have the black cub? I was in the red rhino with my 3 kids. Hansen won't even line up with those 12 mills! LOL
  18. I agree, I don't like thunder either, and I love Choke, I could spend all day there. Your friends with 12 mils, is that Dave and his son from MT? Let me know when you are coming, I will meet up with you.
  19. Yes, I was thinking about Hansen, but some others as well, that are as fast or faster. I believe what you are saying, I have never seen it though, and can only state my experience. Post up the videos, I love to watch that stuff.
  20. Maick, it sounds like the cub might be for you if drag racing and hill shooting are your thing. I have seen some 4mil cubs run, and there is definitely a difference between a cub and my 4mil HJR build, keep in mind, I have never owned one though. But, I can say this, If you do it, do it before you come to St. Anthony! I have ridden Walden, and it is nothing like what we have here, massive wide open bowls, and the steepest, tallest dunes I have seen, only Little Sahara in UT comes close. There are some VERY fast Locals here as well, and they will eat up stock cylinder banshees! Let me know when you are coming, we will hook up for a ride, I live 15 minutes from the dunes, and usually ride about 5 times a week in the summer.
  21. Funny, I have been thinking about the same thing. What type of riding do you do MAICK? Yamaha11, what kind of pipes do you run?
  22. Aside from the reasons you already stated, why do you prefer the stroke over the bore if there is no difference in total displacement? Thanks.
  23. Now that all the experts are watching this thread, its a perfect time to ask a question about adding some timing to my banshee. Where, and how much effect will be felt? Is there any down side? Just so I understand, when you advance timing, you delay the spark so the piston is closer to TDC, or the opposite? I am running straight av gas, LL100. Mods are below. Thanks guys.
  24. As far as the carbs go, I ran the stock carbs on mine at first and they ran great, almost no difference between my 35's. J-Madd, I did not install a pancake bearing, would I have to split the case to install one?
