Well guys, The race sunday went pretty good. I could have done better but I didn't push to hard since I am still nursing my knee troubles. Ended up finishing 8th in my class, which isnt great but it gave me enough points to move up to 2nd overall in points for the series so far this year.

Well guys, I am still trying to make it but I have run into some hell of problems this week. On my way home from my race sunday had a wheel bearing go out in the truck badly. Got the truck towed home, installed new wheel bearing hub assembly last night and drove the truck around, worked great. On my way to work this morning my ABS light kicked back on and steering was acting funny again. I limped the truck to work and noticed the axle is working its way back out again like the new wheel bearing is out just like the old one was...... Gonna tear it back apart tonight in the parking lot at work and see what I find. Any ideas what would cause this?

Ended up finishing 8th. I lost 3 places on my final lap due to breaking my clutch cable so kept killing it in the mud after the creek crossings and getting stuck since I couldn't feather my way through it. I am sitting tied for 2nd overall in my class for the year tho. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not at all. I made a pass in a tight section of the woods and caught a tree and bent one of my uppers. They were just cheap full flights. Don't have the funds this season for new ones so gonna have to run the stockers for awhile and looks like some of the MX races I was gonna do later this year are now out of the question.

Next race is 2 days away.. Knee is still giving me problems but I'm gonna put the brace on and give it a go. I will get pics posted up after Sunday. Only changes to the quad since last race are jetting since it's a little warmer and I'm not running stock width a-arms instead of my plus +2's since I bent one last race and don't have the funds for knew ones this season. We will see how it goes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have trail rode my whole life but when it comes to a race it's a whole new ball game. Key is to ride at your own pace. Most of my accidents or breaks have came from me pushing to hard in areas that weren't meant to be pushed. Relax is the other advice. First couple races each year I wear myself out on the first lap because I'm so into the race. Makes the next hour and a half a little rough Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Its a good time and its kinda nice to be able to ride at a bunch of new places that normally you wouldnt be able to ride at such as large farm tracks, etc.

HAHA, and JD pops in with the salesman pitch. Like mentioned above, check floats and make sure your not dumping fuel out the overflows. DON'T throw in smaller mains just to try an decrease fuel consumption. Decreasing mains will give your motor less fuel and lean out your air/fuel ratio; do this long enough you will be getting great MPG cause your quad will be sitting in the garage waiting for a rebuild. I run an IMS tank on my R to help me out on longer rides. How long did you ride for on a tank of gas?

i always ran the 50/50 with no problems. I run engine Ice now but that's just cause I had a buddy that had a few bottles of it and then sold his quad so he gave it to me. Either one works fine.

Damn, good to see that big of a turn out tho for those conditions. We had our round #1 the weekend before last and it was almost as bad and we had around 160 quad turn out. Our track was very tight and technical which made it a bitch and wore you out in the mud. -
