Thats kinda what i was wanting to do but i mean ive had that warrior for like 7 years and it doesnt look so great but its very quick for a warrior and runs perfect engine is basically near new but i know that it wont bring much money also...im debating on taking it apart and just cleaning it up and repainting the frame, a arms, swinger and stuff, not sure if its even worth doing though.

Nice job man turned out looking good, i have a few questions for you what paint did you use on the frame and such? and did you use a primer and prep the metal at all? I was wanting to do this to my warrior, also did you replace alot of bolts on the bike or just clean them up real good? thanks man. -
Yea im not sure i dont keep track of polaris, i know the outlaws are a nice bike maybe not reliability though, im just not sure about the unknown internal work on that banshee and the fact of it having j-arms two biggest things for me, j arms i wouldnt imagine would hold up for mild little jumps and rough trails like an a-arm would, i might just bring a compression gauge with me and see what its at to at least have an idea of how it is inside the engine whether or not it needs rebuilt soon.

Haha i worked for a yamaha and suzuki shop i could almost say the same about alot of the yamahas and suzukis, alot of polaris is junk but definitely not all, if you worked for yamaha you might say the same about them as well lol, the predator has a few dumbass little things with it but overall there not too bad, i kinda took a chance buying it because i didnt know shit about them wish i didnt now and just took my time...piss

Yea the predators are kind of underestimated imo like the above guy states he thinks there junk which really isnt true there just kind of odd ball atv being a 500 with a different riding stance and everything there actually reliable as hell there just like a blacksheep atv lol, the bike has gobs of power its actually surprising ive ridden with 2 guys with a yfz and 450r and it stays with them there bikes just barely pull away on the road but there both cammed also. I actually do like the bike i just really want a banshee, ive had people interested in it there was 3 guys who wanted to trade for a bike like mine but they already got rid of there bikes by the time i saw the posting, i just want a 2 stroke again and i love the old yamahas and there riding stance and simplicity.

Ive been trying to sell my 05 TLD predator 500 or trade it for a banshee for about a month now the predator runs strong very quick nice riding bike with a full yoshi pipe and full custom intake and jetted. I originally bought it for 2300 it was listed for 2500 talked him down some... and a few months went by and the banshee fever hit me and now im trying to sell the predator for 2500 best as i can but 2300 is as low as ill go since i put a little bit of money into it. I ran into a guy who is interested in trading but its a 1990 and i was going to try and get something a little newer that would maybe be in better shape...and it having j arms doesnt help either this wont be a drag bike more of an XC bike but it has LRD pipes and an old powdercoating job and good rims and such the front shocks dont look factory im not sure, guy said it runs great just looking for something new like i am, the current owner had it for about a year and the guy he bought it from had it since 91 and hes the one who did the work, the only thing the current owner has done was just put new chain and sprockets on it hes not sure whats going on internally heres his bike and then here is mine This pic was before i oiled the filter and before i welded the plastics. He lives 65 miles away and im debating on even going down there to look at it because im not sure if its gonna be worth it honestly...and if i go down there and look at it im going to get all excited over it even if its kinda shabby haha...any suggestions would be great, should i hold out and see if the predator sells or more trade offers come my way? thanks guys sorry for the novel. My Bike does have a grab bar btw i just had it off to reweld it.

if u trail ride more get a raptor, if you wanna hit the track more get a yfz, the raptors will last longer and have more torque, both are pretty equal in speed, the yfz likes to be revved like a 2 stroker and the raptor is more of a lower rpm torque monster, the raptor is also a little more comfortable to alot of people. if you know how to ride the raptors they will slowly pull ahead of a yfz 450, most people who ride raptors rev it too high before they shift and they are faster if u kinda short shift them.anybody would be happy with either one.

well this is a subject that people love to argue about, and it really just comes down to personal preferance. My dad used to build engines for dragsters, drag boats, pulling tractors, and he raced dirtibikes 4 a little while. both foam and K&N are great filters if u maintain them. a long time ago he showed and proved to me just how good they were and facts nobody knows about them, if your that worried about it then take it too a freaking science lab and let them conduct experiments on ur filters or something. i say just run what you think is good, and works good for you and just maintain them the way thats been working for you and thats it. this arguement is the same kinda crap as when people argue about oils and such, nobody ever wins the arguement and at the end of the day your just gonna keep doing what you have ben. Merry Christmas.

yea the honda crf450 was bone stock with maybe a good filter i think and both riders had bout equal skill, my buddy started taking off in 2nd on his banshee and he started to win more often but he also weighs like 275 i think as far as i could see he had cool heads, fmf pipes, bigger carbs an aftermarket cdi, shredder tires and he said it had a 4mil stroker, and he runs 17 or 19 domes i know he uses cam2 also but i think it could run a lil quicker then that, youd think it would smoke a stock crf450

my buddies got a banshee and he was racing his friend on grass and his friend has a honda cr450f dirtbike and they were neck and neck the whole way, the shee would win a few and the dirtbike would win a few, both are good riders and the banshee rider weighs at least 250lb, i havent seen many atv vs dirtbike drags but i know for a fact a few dirtbikes i had would smoke one but this 1 must be pretty quick, any thoughts?

Plastics/www.dcvmx.com Uptite Husky-1-714-540-2920 george is who i talked too Halls Husqvarna-1-217-789-0107 goodluck hopefully they still sell the stuff -
my buddy races professionally and he used to race a honda 426ex but now he runs a 450r but the best 2 pipes for an EX are the Duncan Fatboy4 and the Curtis Sparks pipes hands down.

yea they fixed that yfz prob after 04 i believe , and now that you fixed the choke it actually might make the jetting off a little since now its working correctly, id see what ur plug looks like first hand might be a lil rich now after fixing choke problem
