i always have used Kold Kutter screws and put 3-4 per lug on a XC style rear tire. use a fairly new tire so they have more of a lug to screw into. you will not need tubes as long as you do not puncture the carcass of the tire. there is big difference between regular "zip" screws and the ones that are designed for this stuff. the head of the screw is designed for ultimate traction and tested over countless hours

ran some clay drags this weekend and after blowing the tires off all day, i want an alternative to the sets of paddles. i would prefer something with a fairly flat profile to the top of the tire. im only pushing around 80's for HP, so i dont want something with 100+ studs in each tire either. might be interested in a set of studded/unstudded terrain tracks, or other sets that can handle me throwing snowmobile studs in them.

can you get ones with the radiator area precut?

what kind of hangers is everyone using? i have a rigid drag quad that just ripped the rubber on the factory hangers and looking at new ones. does everyone use the ones with rubber in them, or will the "solid" ones work just as well? i dont want it to vibrate and break the tab on the pipes is my only concern

what are the specs on the snowmo setup??

in order to run times close to what is arguably the fastest street bike on the planet, you will also need one hell of a fast setup on a quad as well. either massive twin or decent sized triple. that zx-14 puts down 200hp and you will need 160hp+ out of a quad to hit a flat 5 second

the propane injection setup is more suited for mountain sleds where you are on and off the throttle often. keeping that turbo spooling is harder to do when going from WOT to idle and back to WOT. powering an engine with propane is entirely different. i know a local guy running a 502 in a lifted jeep that is fed propane. local cops caught wind of it quick though and he doesnt drive it down mainstreet much anymore lol

never seen it done on anything 2 smoke actually.. but sleds do run it, and run it reliably and efficiently in 300-400hp range.

yeah i realize its not the safest fuel source by any means either. im not trying to say anyone else is wrong in their comments or ideas and im not looking to run into my garage right now, pour the nitro into my tank, strap on a gorilla suit and 60's leather football helmet and assume its going to run on it. i didnt post the original question. all i was originally saying is that it CAN be done, and has been attempted before and that i at some point in my lifetime would like to say i gave it a worthwhile attempt

see, now i commend your comment because you are actually attempting to back your claim instead of just saying it cant be done. i know it would not be an easy or even cheap investment, and at some point in the future i would like to try it. it wont be anytime soon as im already busy enough with sponsorships and multiple forms of racing, but i think at some point ill do some research on it. i wont comment more on the propane subject, because that area has been proven to work for a few years now in the high HP sled world.
