  3. so maybe it's not the best idea to leave out 3 springs?
  4. So you only run the three own springs and that's it right?seem to work well?
  5. I have 3 heavy duty clutch springs I was wondering if it would be safe to run only those 3 with my lockout or if I should get all 6 in there somehow and if so how the he'll do you compress them enough to start the bolts Thanks
  6. I kicked the crap out of it about 40 times and I got up to 190 psi does that sound right?
  7. Used but in good condition 50 apiece or 3 for 120
  8. Is it safe to run with a conditioner? And what compression do I need to run 50 50 pump gas mix. Also what is a safe timing advance for a 10 mil
  9. I was just curious as to why the dogs were cut like that...I was studying it and the beveled side doesn't even contact a mating surface.....not trying to get your secret "recipe" LOL I am just curious about things of a mechanical nature... Anyway I partially assembled of and it seems to move oothly through gears 1-5, and does not engage 6th, so I suppose I can just grind off the 6th gear nipple to be safe. As far as pics, the drum is stock and has not been modded...looks just like my stocker except for a threaded hole in the center of the stator side end. The gear cogs have definatwly been cut and 6th has been swapped and a couple gears on the other shaft have been switched out
  10. Well this guy swears up and down that is the drum that ran his override. Can I mess anything up by trying it out? Is it possible to run an override with a stock drum? And if you have time could you pm me and tell me exactly why the dogs are 45ed and what the other mods are for I'd feel way better with a good understanding of things.. Thanks for the replies Marcus
  11. I am a officially pissed. How much would it be to get my drum modded? Hopefully my gearset gas been properly cut... Looks like there are 3sets of dogs that have been cut at 45 degrees... Does that sound right?
  12. what is all modded? I bought one used and I can't see any difference between my old one and my old one....
  13. Wow I just checked the mains and whoever sold me the carbs were running 185's
  14. I love my 521 Cheetah for hillclimbs and duning. Power delivery is super smooth and propels you effortless around the dunes, without having to worry about shifting every 3 seconds. Kinda like I'd imagine a turbo raptor to run like. Or a 600cc streetbike, minus the first 5k rpm's You lose that violent on/ off powerband though.
  15. I am right at sea level in south Louisiana and it is humid as hell (not sure if that makes a difference). I asked the guy at Trinity and he said 155, without even asking me my elevation
  16. Sounds like you mighta broke a piston? I'd say check you're compression first and go from there.
  17. I'd recommend you call a reputable builder and get her ported. When I had my stock cylinder Banshee ported ($250 job), she would up and walk away from piped 450's pretty bad. Only mods were Pro Circuit pipes, filter, and the port job. I'd say get the cub if you plan on getting serious about dragging, though.
  18. Hmmm. Roger at Wicked told me there is only one spring and it goes between the case and the #1 shift fork...
  19. Meh, he's sending it to me. I just didn't feel like waiting.
  20. So I finally got my packages in from Millenium and Trinity 72mm pistons Fresh re-plate Other upgrades this rebuild; 35 to 39 mm carbs Trinity stage IV inframes to Shearer big bores 1-5 duneable Lockout 7,000' drop in elevation Hopefully I'll notice a lil bump in performance
