  1. I need a Stator, voltage regulator, pressure plate. Thanks
  2. Can someone please tell me real quick how far my exhaust port roof needs to be from my deck for 195 duration. I believe everything is stock but I think I read somewhere that the top of the piston is not supposed to protrude from your deck at tdc but the crown of mine does. Don't know if that means anything but i thought I'd note it. Thanks, Marcus
  3. No sir I don't believe. it looks like there are some bolt holes on the steel part of the stator assembly, but there are no bolts in them..I did not see any likely place the cut wires would go.... Oh and I can't find the voltage regulator either.
  4. I cant figure where the two pickup wires go....
  5. I take it that Barney's son hasen't been using that tractor lately to smooth it out...
  6. Yeah when I bought it it had a 521 cheetah motor on ir with a pvl...This ignition was in a cardboard box with a bunch of oher parts...Maybe I didn't look hard enough for the voltage regulator but I dont have that hooked up. And also I dont have the keyswitch hooked up either lol it was a long day when I tried hooking all that up. So basically I need to hook up the voltage regulator, reposition my ground to the back of the bike, hook up the ignition, .....aaaaand I'm kind of confused about the "pickup" wires....The cut ends need to be routed back behind the stator plate? Looks like I'm gonna have to take off early today...
  7. Sorry for the newbness, but which one is the voltage regulator? Not the CDI box, huh? And can you please be a little more specific about the location where the ground goes... BTW, I didnt see any wires for those to tie in to....???????
  8. So that is keeping it from running? I don't see why it was cut if it would keep it from running...
  9. Link to the pics http://www.caraudio.com/gallery/browseimages.php?do=member&imageuser=64411
  10. Make sure you chamfer them there ports
  11. Should have the banshee running strong by new years just wondering who was planning on going to the dunes...
  12. With your riding style I would suggest the CPI's. If your motor uses stock porting I would raise the exhaust port roof 2mm and widen it about the same, making sure to properly chamfer the port and hone the cylinders when you're done. This will increase your exhaust duration and will really let the pipes shine. Down the road I would send the jugs off to get drag ported and buy some 35mm carbs to really open her up.
  13. Ok so My bike originally came with a PVL and the regular ignition was in a box...Well I sold the PVL and I go to hook up the other ignition and i get no fire. So..I took a bunch of pictures and maybe you can see something I missed. The harness has obviously been modified. And I havent bolted the cdi box to the frame not sure if it has to be grounded to it... Hey if the pics dont work I cant access photobucket from work could someone with a little time post them to their photobucket. -Thanks, Marcus
  14. OK I kind of get it what are the c clips for and how do you get the rubber to expand> And what's that thing with the blue string on it and if it pops out won't is destroy your nads?
  15. Yeah I've heard that you can plug both ends of the pipe, air up to 20 psi or so and heat the dented area to get out the dent, but what can I use to plug up the ends and what not. Is this stuff I can get at the hardware store? Thanks in advance
  16. Yeah and I have about $600 plus what I get from selling my parts
  17. Mods in my sig. I was thinking about 2 options but am torn At first I was planning on selling my hi rev's and cetting cpi inframes and coolhead. Buuuuutt Now I'm thinking about selling my stock ported cylinders and just getting a cub... How would it run with a stock head and pt hi rev's tho...? What would you do? I don't really trail ride or anything mostly drag race and fly down the beach
  18. Did you use a spacer between the cylinder or do you use stroker domes? Was your porting done prior to the stroke because if so you may need to lower your exhaust port and actually get the port work re-done completely; if the piston falls below the exhaust port on its downward stroke the stream will hit the cylinder below the port dead on and cause a lot of turbulence and will kill your top end.
  19. Well i've heard the pt rev's make broad power but are obviously top end biased but how much? 9500? 10,000?
  20. +1 for HJR Answered all my questions Good attitude Great work Fast turnaround time
  21. I'm not looking for a drag port by any means just want my exhaust to match my pipes..I know bell's book says for 10,500 ish rpm peak around 196/132ish is ideal, but I'm not really sure if those numbers are set in stone for all 2strokes or even where my pipes peak...
  22. Pt Hi-Rev pipes 126 189 68.9% I can't find the pipe specs online (can't access from work computer) If you have a link to a calculator that'd be nice too -Thanks, Marcus
  23. Sounds to me like you need to get a port job. Much better gains than the mods you've listed. I believe HJR has an MX option for like 250 bucks if you are on a budget...
