Hello everyone, Well i have a question i put on a used set of sst pipes rejetted 280 mains needle 3 clip air screws 1.5 turns snorkel off did a plug chop everything looked great and was working great.. then after riding it for weeks i started getting bog at start up rechecked the air screws turned them to 1 1/4 out and got the bog out again but when i take it down the road jumping on it hard and stop it seems like its running out of gas to the point that i will not even idle right and stalls sometimes. if i wait like 30 sec. its ok again. ok now heres the question has anyone had to change the float height after putting on pipes? has anyone heard of this before? any input would be great Thanks
Yes ........ I have the same set up as you but i run with the lid on........ snorkel off and i run 280 main needle on 3rd clip 1.5 out on air screw. I did a plug chop and i wouldnt dare remove my lid without gong to at least a 300 main jet
OK timing plate is cheap enough can do that. Im running 280 mains and third clip with stock piolts 3rd notch on needles 1 1/2 turns out on screws whats a good starting place if i remove the lid?
Well i raced my boss yesterday he has the new 2008 Cam-am DS 450X With full motoworks pipe with programer. I just put on my pipes and got the jetting tuned it and it was a good thing i did. Every race was neck and neck He won afew and i won afew. It came down to who got the better hole shot. Now i need to go to the next step. What will give me the most H.P for bolt on mods? I have FMF SST pipes K&N filter with snorkel off. I want to be able to beat him everytime
Just wondering what everyone thinks i heve a really small hole in my front tire like a thorn size goes flat in like 2 to 3 days. Should i plug it like a car tire? Im thinking what will make a very big hole. Is there a better way?
Yea i know but where im riding we have all types mud, sand, hard packed and i hate getting stuck my boss has ITP holeshot SR and he gets stuck all the time and i pull right through where he was. damn thing is to heavy to keep lifting.
LOL if i lean back and start in 2nd gear ill be upside down. i have 22x12x9 bearclaw rear tires i still spin but front wheels are off the ground most of the time.
OK i didnt want to start a WAR. I will have my pipes on this week and think i know where to start the jetting to be very close. Dont want mine to be one of the sick sounding shees out there. I will give him the best run i can if hes out this weekend and let everyone know how i did. I think if i loose it will still be a close run. wish me luck thanks for all the input.
