  1. I see what you are saying. Not trying to be an ass, but if you NEEDED an higher octane fuel, and C-12 and AV gas cost the same amount, what would you run? Would you rather run a fuel that is formulated for racing, or a fuel that is formulated for aircraft. As you can see from my sig, if I had a lot more dough, I wouldn't have blue nerfbars on a yellow Banshee. Thats why I say "strictly" for the cost. It has ZERO to do with what I NEED to run, but does at the same time. I KNEW I would need at least 100 octane with the compression and timing I wanted to run. And it could be lower, but I KNOW I am not safe on pump gas. I may be taking this the wrong way, which is often done when reading "text", but it seems that you and the other guy that posted about this are insulting my intelligence. I hope I am wrong.
  2. Have you tried anything or did you just come on here and hope someone would sprinkle pixie dust on it? Check your plug wire and cap.
  3. Whats crazy about it? (sorry about the triple post)
  4. Whats crazy about it? That I get away with it? I dont understand...

  6. Yeah I run AV gas as opposed to C-12 strictly for the cost. 180 lbs compression and +4 timing - no problems.
  7. I run it because A: I run 180 lbs of compression and B: It has less additives AKA crap in it than pump gas. Lead is a lubricant so that helps too, or so I think. I was running C-12. But at $70 for five gallons, thats a mighty expensive weekend. $14 a gallon = crazy.
  8. Where in NY are you located? Are you interested in running AV gas? I am near Kingston Upstate and we have an airport here you can just walk up to the pump and pay with plastic.
  9. I get AV gas at the local airport. Right now its about 3.50 a gallon.
  10. I also run the TM's. I love them!!! What is your air\pipe setup? I can get you close. Profilact
  11. Hey guys, I am in need of a frame w\paperwork. Preferrably in the NY area so I can pick it up, but if it must be shipped I will pay for that. Must be an a-arm frame. I dont care what year as long as its straight and has paperwork to go with it. If i have to take other parts with it I will consider it. Thanks, Profilact
  12. If you have paperwork for the frame, how much shipped to 12477?
  13. I need a clean title a-arm frame. How much shipped to 12477?
  14. About 80 hours on it. Comes with trailer, cover, and life vests if wanted. All paperwork is clear. $3000. There is a pic in my sig. PM me if interested. ***PICK UP ONLY***
  15. Just a personal preference. I have always found mikuni's to be easier to work on and tune than keihins.
  16. who cares keihin is crap. mikuni baby!!!!!
  17. I have a set of them on my banshee. I like them. Would I like to have a set of Paul Turners or Tommey's? Hell yeah! All you haters out there need to ride a set of them before you knock 'em. My banshee pulls hella hard for having some lame DG's on it. Of course I am running 180 psi, so it better pull!!! Profilact
  18. Troy is about 50 miles from me but if you wanted to get together and ride I would be down.
  19. You were literally 6 miles from my house today. I know there are trails around here, the problem is I dont know where they all are as Im not from NY, and I have no one to ride with. I could go exploring, but its dangerous, at least I think, to go riding by yourself. Anynumber of things could happen, and you may be stuck by yourself with no way to get back. Thats my biggest concern. Plus, its a lot more fun to ride with people.
  20. I'm pretty much in the same boat, but have a rideable quad. Isn't there anyone else from around here?
  21. Right now Im mainly riding on the powerlines. It's rocky as hell. At this point I'm willing to make a trip to go riding. Liberty is 60 miles from here. What kind of riding is over there? MarineNYC, where do you ride?
  22. Well, is anyone on here from the Hudson Valley? I live in Saugerties and with summer pretty much here I'm looking for people to ride with. Post up if your'e from the area!!
  23. This change will give you more top end speed, but less bottom end grunt.
  24. No one person. I stopped in for a few minutes, read the flyer, and quickly realized that I would not be able to participate since I didn't make the registration time, so I left. There were a lot of people there though.
  25. 200 would be a BAD starting point. If you are at 310, try 300, 280 etc.... Like was already posted, a bog at top end represents a main jet problem. 500 feet to me doesn't seem that high, so I don't consider that a factor. Im running close to same setup you have, minus the exact same pipes, at sea level, with 32mm carbs and 280 mains. No bog.
