heres wat i like, i know ppl are going to disagree. paul turner high revs are sick, they dont burn your legs, chrome is flawless and will hold up to anything, and the power is smooth to the top. i had t6s before, and they scream at top end, bottom end was so so. also rode a dyno port 2 into 1. i liked it, although they will be bashed if u ask about them. the power is like the paul turners and the sound is like an indy car. i did alot of woods riding before i starting building my motor, my fav was the paul turners by far. i had the pt mids, and they appear to be the same but for what its worth get the highs.

fyi i read 75% of the post, and someone was saying they ran tz with helix gears and no problem and then some one else said straight cuts with tz and a problem. and then some one else said tz with helix gears was a problem and then some one else said straight cuts with tz wasnt a problem. i just get nervous seeing carnage pics where shit looks like it went threw a metal meat grinder. jeff built my motor, im going to have faith but im always going to on high alert now.

you guys are making me nervous. i got a tz on clutch side w/ straight cuts. i havent run the bike yet. idk if i want to now

ok sorry i didnt realize you were new, i kinda have a problem with assuming. im talking about your throttle cable. its been awhile since ive seen a stock banshee but on my throttle cable i have a 1 into 2 split, the split is somewhere close to where the carbs are. on mine, the cable for right and left carb can be pull out slightly from the splitter. ive had it once where one cable was hitting a radiator hose or something and being pulled out of the splitters socket a lil. tors it the yamaha fail saftey mechanism. there huge boxes ontop of ur carb caps that plug in your wire harness, if u have them u still have tors or throttle over ride system. this may or may not be the problem, i doubt it is though. look into eliminating them in the future to make trouble shooting easier. this is wat tors system looks like http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-Banshee-TORS-kit-carburators-/290669252300?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43ad3ccecc heres the delete kit http://www.ebay.com/itm/Motion-Pro-Throttle-Kit-TORS-Eliminator-Yamaha-YFZ350-Banshee-1987-2006-/320841206209?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item4ab3a049c1 from the sounds of it, it isnt electrical. this is kinda good news. check ur spark plugs, are they matching, br8es vs br8s? im gunna list some stupid things here but pick and choose what youve done already, maybe i might list one u havent tryed. jet size are matching? fuel to both carbs? float bowl installed backwards? carbs on right side? did u forget a piliot jet? are the carbs sync? are u sure about the choke tube? some one chime in on this one, i remember reading something about a parking brake limiter. basically it wont allow u to rev at standstill. needles jets in both carbs at equal clip position? if u happen to have a tors delete kit, check the idle manual adjuster on the cap where the cable feeds in. to be sure, keep the bike off, pull the air filtration system off, and push the throttle in slowly and observe the motion. u want the slides to being identical when u give it gas one time i put the stupid slide in backwards, witch ended up not being my fault, the guide pin was shot. try swaping the slides. have ur bike running, rev it and put ur hand or some paper behing the exhaust to collect some exhaust samples. is the bum side is oily that means no combustion/ignition, if its wet and sweet smelling u have a bad head gasket with anti freeze in ur cylinder, if ones hotter than the other and they have the same samples, its a fuel delivery issue, if theres no varriation between the two ???? if all else fails, u may want to switch sides w/ ur reeds, or swapping parts untill something gives. for some reason i think its something to do with u carb slides. this is more information most ppl would bother posting and if this dosnt help u may wanna start grave digging other 1 cylinder firing post

Whenevers fine with me. I run straight cuts in my bike and have no need for it. Ill check and see if i kept my large geat but i think wicked atv kept mine for some odd reason.
-
check your choke tube, its a small black hose that connects the carbs together. if that dosnt work, try pulling the cable on the side thats bum and see if it revs up. dont go yanking on shit though, you gotta speak to your banshee lol. see if u can narrow it down to one of the three things, spark, fuel, compression. the compression is kinda low, but that shouldnt matter if there equal and the bike starts. did u get rid of the tors system? ive had this problem many of times ill list a few things ive gotten tripped up on. throttle cable not adjusted properly or the cable was being pulled on one side pick up coil screws backed out and it was dangling air leak, from the reed/carb boot/air filter. some how a piece of paper towel got sucked into my float bowl and clogged my jet, thats still a mystery to me. bad ground also try swapping the spark plug wires, see if anything changes theres a shit ton of possibilities and 90% of the time its human error. dont give up, just keep diagnosing

wow shit son, ive had some clutch detonation myself. that happen last year. not trying to jack ur post or anything but hey u caught my attention and i figgure u were in the market for a primary gear, i have the small one that goes to the crank. its yours just pay the shipping. i have a few odds and ends, unfortunately for u no baskets or stock clutch covers. if u ask around on the boards i bet someone will donate a stock clutch cover, most ppl discard them after they start putting $$ into there motor. good luck on your repairs

ive been window shopping these for awhile. not many people dish out for them it seems but im willing too. anyone else here run these? if so what series? im wondering if i should get the aluminum hub rears and use the metal collar ones in the front. my motor is finally back and unfortunately its still cold here and im trying to get all my shit in a row so i dont waste this summer. also what offset do u guys use with your rims. im sure i could just go measure the rims i use now, but id like to here wat you guys use and why.

http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/mcy/2807039261.html just in case it goes down, im gunna quote it "im selling a 95 banshee new top end it was runing then it stop geting spark and i bout 2 new stares and a coil and its still not geting spark im do with it im not going lower then $700 have 2000 in it its clean some thing in the electric i just don't got time for it. got a book for it to i got 3 new tired for it want a hungered for the u can call/tex at 724-730-2211 " i understand if you have poor grammar, using the spell check dosnt make you less of a man. for example, by the time i finish typing this post i will have use the spell check 10 times, and will edit it shortly after i post it. if you dont know how to spell something, go to google and spend 15 mins a day educating yourself. this guys listing is so poorly written that my gf even got a laugh out of it and call the dude asked him if the bike was for sale, said no, and then she informed him that his listing was unreadable due to multiple grammatical errors. im not a word nazi but this is a little ridiculous. im surprised this guy got his phone number right. edit rolf

LOL its reminds me of the weed game. remember back in highschool when the one popular kid had all the good connections? and once one person found out who he was, it was smarter to just go to the source and skip the middle man. just a though -
talk to some guy named insaneoctane or something like that. lol hes the only guy whos said hed sell his roller witch was mint, never assembled. otherwise call lonestar, these things are not only hard to come by but will have a price tag of atleast 2 gs without most major components. i want one more than u and ive been a member here since 08 and can only count 3 complete bikes on the boards and never seen them forsale

All i can say is, trinity stepped up and took care of me. And i paid Jeff to verify. i dont know what went wrong where. but i mean u told me my problem before i even knew. the only dyno around is 30 mins away in leroy rochester where all them highschool kids are getting Tourette syndrome. the dudes a complete douche bag with a lazy eye and charges too much for his room. i guess i have no choice though to prove this once and for all

ill pass on the fronts, right now its like 20 degrees out and my bike still has no motor. plus, these tires will be cf rims, as soon as i buy them lol. i have the 1200 to spend on them atm but i rather wait untill i see some sunshine before i go spending even more money on my already pricy bike. a few questions i should of asked that i didnt before. How many paddles do i want? What type of rear paddles should i want? (straight, angled, scattered?) What type of front paddles should i want? (smooth, knobed,or solid line) What ply do i want? im going to run 9s(rim size) in the back and 10s in the front. for those who dont know my bike, i got a 485 cheetah with EVERYTHING done to it on c12 108 octane thanks in advanced

ive been window shopping sand tires for a bit now, theres so many options, so many designs, and sadly not many reviews. i wish we had a tire section on the boards, but we dont. so far ive been looking at images on google and youtube and try to find similar bikes that ride similar to my style. come to find out most people drag race there banshee(obviously) and use straight +/-8 paddles. well i like to drag race, but im not a drag racer. i like to jump the dunes, slide corners, and play in the idiot holes. from what ive some what read i want slightly slanted paddles. ive found 2 ive liked i like real boxy tires, idk y. please post some pics of your sand tires and any advise as too what set i should buy
