  1. Sorry about my little slang. I'm using my phone so I have the habit of typing that way. The reason I have a j-arm frame is because I bent the a-arm frame and a buddy of mine sold me the j-arm frame for cheap and I had blow my motor. So all I have now is some parts but not all. The only thing good I have is the pink slip and a bare frame. That's why I just bought a new quad instead of starting all over. I tried 2 sell the stuff I had but nobody picked up on it being its a '96 pink slip but no takers. So I just decided to keep it and build it slowly. Don't really need it now since I have the 450s. I just might put it together as a roller and sell it as is. Don't know yet that's why I'm asking what would be best
  2. I'm not getting rid of my 450's but the way I had my banshee, suspension and performance it was just like the 450. I tried selling it but no1 want it cuz I had no block with it but I have the papers 2 it n I'm still paying for ir so there's no back on it. At the same time I miss that 2 stroke smell and the extra gear it gave it when I needed it going full throttle the sand highway in glamis or the pole line down superstition mountains
  3. I work on my own quads now but it needed little things here n there, oil change, clutch plates, rejet n clean the carbs and etc. But never did an over haul but always wanted 2 do it n get the tools needed 4 it. Have the service manual so I want 2. People tells me I should just buy a new 1 but I would need 2 the mods after like arms shocks cuz there's some out there that don't have it, well the cheap 1s. I want 2 start from scratch n build it from the ground up but I just want 2 hear other people what they think.
  4. I have a '96 shee, but I only have the frame, gas tank, seat, swingarm, j-ams, radiator, lights, spindles, front n rear brakes. NO MOTOR!! What should I do build it slowly and get new parts or just buy a whole quad already running. I have a yfz well 2 '05 but I miss the 2-stroke n the banshee was my 1st quad. I just want 2 build it 2 ride around or desert. A friend of mine gave me his yfz front arms n was thinking on modifing the front suspension and getting a used stock motor n fixing it up. So what should I do. Don't know how it is in other locations but out here in California 98 n up its a red sticker n 98 n down is a green sticker. Red is only during season n green is all year. So I have it under so I can use it all year but who rides a shee in the summer cuz it over heats
  5. Can't wait 2 see this banshee run thru the whoops and hit the jumps
  6. Can't wait 2 see this banshee run thru the whoops
  7. My 1st frame I had powdercoated black and I tweaked it so my new frame I'm getting it powder coat it blue
  8. I like this 2 bikes it looks really nice. Now I'm really thinking on getting my sons grandfathers blaster n fix it up like these 2. I want 2 do it 2 my YFZ. The shee looks good with the fullbore plastics. 2 bad fullbore don't make it for the basterd. Should I paint the plastics or get new white plastics.
  9. The color scheme looks pretty good. Just wondering should I buy new white plastic or plaint my old plastics. Should I paint or powder coat the frame. I was also thinking painting the pipes black. I don't want any chrome on it. Not 2 big on chrome.
  10. Doing a tear down and want 2 do change up color theme on the shee. I was thinking on white plastics and blue frame. Does anybody have a white n blue shee out there so I can see how it looks. I seen a yfz with a white n blue n look nice and was thinking on doing the same. Should I powder coat or paint the frame. I have blue plastics, should I paint it or get new plastics. I like the fullbore but I would like 2 put in a custom grill n don't see much on the fullbore. Need help n opinions
  11. I kinda want 2 set it up 2 use the same suspension as the yfz. I want 2 update my banshee a lil. But want 2 start off using stock yfz parts. I need the rear hubs n axle. Bent my swing arm but a buddy of mine is selling me his stock swingarm n shock off his 05 yfz. I have the front arms n shocks. My buddy is selling me some of his stock stuff but just wondering if the stuff fits on it so I don't have 2 order the parts since my buddy is selling the stuff 2 me cheap.
  12. Someone probably asked this already. But does anyone uses the swingarm, rear shock and linkage on the banshee. I've seen threads where they can mount the swingarm but didn't see if they use the linkage and shock off a yfz. Has anyone tried it cuz my body is giving me his rear shock n linkage just need the swingarm or can I mount it on a aftermarket swingarm.
