  1. welcome and stuff. no, nothing to worry about on long runs besides running out of fuel, keep your filters clean and your bike maintained and shit will be awesome. throw some pixs up !! i run 40:1 motul all oil is different.
  2. and probably a hone / bore to clean up where you missed the hole.
  3. well, id like to see how these go with stock carbs and T5's, sounds like a good setup for these cylinders.
  4. warnings are there for a reason snop !, they save lives. if would be irresponsible of you to remove them. mine just has holes with stickers under the plastics. meh, they're speed holes anyway, they make you go faster.
  5. M&M a sponsor on here have their own cranks aswell. give them a message.
  6. john, i now have every thing. all is great.
  7. big props to mar nukks brother-john. ordered a complete trans for a great price and it came with EVERYTHING!!! even a modded shift star woop woop. then when i got home, there was a "parcel at P/O" ticket at my door (also from john) youd think while i was at the P/O, they would give me both parcels. cheers john, your a champ.
  8. im sure a lil clean up port, will make everything ok congrats man. get married n stuff.
  9. wiseco's are one of the best in the small engine world.
  10. i dont know of many places here, GNR101 a member on here also from perth had a place in wanneroo port his cylinders. Tho we both have had ours done from a BHQ sponsor. well the single carb is more for bottom end and the shearer is more for top end, they dont match as a setup. dmc's, toomeys, pc's and fmf's would have better pipes that you look like youd be after.
  11. " my endeavors consist of modifying my bike a considerable amount, but first , i would think its appropriate if i were to get used to the machine first. "
  12. you need a heat proof silicon joint, like the one on the stock pipes. the stock ones wont fit as the shearer pipes are a bit bigger. you put the joint over a pipe and connect the two pipes together then slide the silicon joint, over where the two pipes overlap and hose clamp each side.
  13. buy a decent bike and look after it, and it ill be fine. its just hard finding a good one (like anything) 2 strokes are only more work because you gota mix fuel, with 4 pokes you have to adjust valve clearances and worry about cams wearing out. not to say it aways happends, but there is more stuff in a 4 stroke than in a two. 2strokes get a bad name because people thrash the shit out of them cold or just treat them like shit and break them. when i go out riding, its always the four strokes that are fuking up. tips; always warm it up. use good fuel and oils (premix especially and at a safe mix) check your bike once in a while make shaw everything is all good. maintain that mofo. keep your filters clean.
  14. your bike seems set up for down low power, with the single carb and fmf pipes, the shearer's are a top end drag pipe, usually feed with big carbs. if you want more top end, maybe try twin carbs before you change to a full on drag pipe.
  15. ive never fitted them, but no welding is required, they are a big pipe and from wat ive heard, are a bit of a bitch to put on (just gota wiggle and hold your tongue right.) some one with them will reply. but, you do know you have to re jet your carbs for those pipes ?, what pipe's do you have on now ?
  16. just let it run for a bit with the cap off, refilling as necessary. then once full stick the cap on and ride and re check when cold. usually as 472 said, fill and ride. but i like to make shaw .
  17. sweet as bloke, you came to the right place throw some pics up man.
  18. the wires connected to your parking brake are the wiring for your tors, they connect to you thumb throttle, p/brake, carbs, and a lil black box under your fuel tank. you will have to remove it all, and get a tors remove kit. search tors and find a removal thread.
  19. 510 looks good on paper, ive never used it. ive been using motul 800 @ 40:1 and that has been fine.
