  1. hmmm maybe a touch richer to start, 340's maybe. my dune port 350 t5'd stock carbs was at 330/25/1 turn. i would have thought the shearers would want some more fuel in the top end. who ported it ? give them a message ?
  2. are you running the airbox with out a lid ? with out the lid youd bump it up maybe 2 jet sizes and then check the plugs. doesnt the K&N filter come with jets and that, when bought for a banshee ?. if you are running the airbox with no lid, you need to buy a proflow adapter (the lid helps seal the stock filter to the box) if you run the 2 filters, you gota be careful that you dont run into deep puddles (theyll suck water). if you want some reeds, a sponsor on here (chariot performance) does some sweet billet ones, they would go good on your bike and will be good for future mods.
  3. clean it down, pressure test it or start it up. and wait for it to leak, check both sides of the pipe and around the head. check you trans fluid, make sure there isnt any water in there. (there is a oring on the end of that coolant pipe, that sits inside the clutch cover)
  4. 1211, i use it for my cases so i just use that.
  5. cool as man, nice one !. glad you bought another one of the most awesomest quads again is it the red one pictured ? or was that ya other one ?
  6. haha cheers man !, i like it too . most bikes around here are pretty stock with just bolt on's, so even with a ported stock cylinder you leave people behind. nice bike you have there too and it wont be long till you have replaced every part on it haha, its too addictive and banshee's love mods as much as we do. cost ? i dont know, after ive paid for it i try forget about the money part haha.
  7. famous last words right there hahaha. we will see . 32:1 to 40:1 is fine, the better the oil the safer it is to run a leaner oil mixture. you need a transmission oil thats compatible with wet clutches (atf also works, just change it more frequently) jump maybe 2 jet sizes in winter, your still running full airbox and snorkle so its gonna draw alot of fuel in anyway. my stocker ran fine in the top gear. youll end up atleast getting pipes, filter and re jet if not for cheap perforamance but just coz they sound so good with aftermarket pipes.
  8. hey new (sorta) guy. welcome and stuff. dunno about the iphone, do you have facebook ? you could upload pix to FB then onto here, or upload pix from ya phone to a photobucket account then link them here. if you can make the pics smaller on ya phone (like change the pic size to 640x480 or something) that will work. im sure some peeps will chime in, i still rock an old nokia.
  9. hahaha. ahhhh i remember elka in da shout layn down some phat beats n rhymes.
  10. g'day and welcome. post some pix of ya brap machine.
  11. im running 24's asl and kicking 150psi.
  12. overrides can eat forks, this mod isnt an override.
  13. what do you mean "was" where is it now, what happened ?.
  14. id totally buy that frame if i had some spare coin or was in the US, wanted another bike or drag raced. otherwise bam sold !. haha bump.
  15. haha spew ! but the bikes ok !!!!!!!!.
  16. ok, if they have a data logger and log the run in with the AFR, then they could be onto a good thing. i just dunno about tune shops and shops that tune on the side. just remember to ask them what main jets, needles, needle hights, pilots and turns on the air screw are, when you pick it up and relay the info here. and to the original question for more power, running meth will be the cheapest option because your other options are more port or more engine.
  17. woe woe ! so how are they tuning your bike ? revving it in neutral, or going for a ride looking at the AFR meter ? sound iffy to me.
  18. yeh they used a air fuel ratio gauge, but people can still screw up using one of them. either way let us know what jets they used. see the surface your riding on isnt at all gripy so youll be having some traction problems too. maybe if you added the horsepower up over the rpm it could equal 9hp. but i dont think if you had say 90hp and you throw ya dyna stuff in, you will get 99hp. you could get say 3hp over 3000-6000rpm and 5hp from 6000-12000rpm. you really need a dyno to tune a dynatech.
  19. is there any one else that can tune your bike ? a dealership cant tune a stock one let alone a modded one. ask them what jets they put in and let us know. id say as a trail bike goes, you have more than enough power. where did you want more power ? in the top or mid ? are you using all the gears ?. have you had it dyno'd ?. with a dyna you can fine tune the ignition, but i dont think its gonna yield you the extra power you want. what tyres and tyre pressure do you run ? what surfaces do you ride on ?
  20. youll find out when ya get ya bike together and hit the dunes. if you trail ride, stocker will be fine. if you dune, you may find you need a +4. you might like doing lots of wheelies (who doesnt !) but you may want less wheelies during climbs or something.
  21. it didnt come in a cometic package (it was actually loose on some cardboard.) but it looked just like a cometic one.
